Default C5 and Predator getting Nitrous

I have a 99 C5, I am going with a wet shot 125-150, should I just run my stock tune? If I install the performance tune from the predator, what changes should I make?

The predator tune will advance your timing which you really don't want with nitrous.. if you're doing alot of track runs i'd pull some timing for sure

Scott,Is Right. However if the c5 has a stock tune you do not need to remove timming.Just do not use the timing advance from the predator.

Yeah, on my '02 Camaro the Predator pushed 6 more
degrees of advance, and -10% will only take 3 back
out.

It might be worth trying to pick up that RWTD utility
that revises the Predator to not "install performance"
but rather read & write what it finds, +/- , instead.
This is what they use for the email tunes. This will
let you vary about the stock tune (subtracting
timing if you like) which is a more conservative place
to be squirting nitrous from.

Check out the runningwiththedevil.com site (if it's
up).

what i did with the predator is did real time data at wot with nos got 1st and third banks to 900 and spark to 26 with nos so its not to hard if you have some road and nos to spare . if im not mistaken i took right at 1.15 percent out to get 26 .

So the thing from RWTD allows you to alter the stock tune? If I install the performance tune will I even be able to back the timing up enough or will it only allow 3% total.

yes all you do is go to modify performance . what you need to do is install the tune and go to modify and back timing down at least -10percent at first go on the street with real time data( try to have someone with you for they can read it ) go into second at 40 and nail it till wot and look at the spark and the first and third banks the 1st and third need to be right at 900( the banks on the bottom of the screen to adjust this need to change fuel+or -) and your spark needs to be at 25 or so na . then do it with nos at wot and then you will be able to change it to 24 on spark at wot with a 100 shot. and make sure the first and third banks are at 900 lower is to lean higher is to rich. it isnt the best way to tune your car by anymeans but it is an easy safty measure untill you can get a wideband tune done on the car. i still use that same tune and have sprayed many of times . after many runs you need to shut off right after and pull driverside plug and check to see if your running to lean or to rich that is the best way you can possibly do .it is the best way to check if your to lean or way to rich.i hope i helped . if anyone else has anything to add please for im not an expert myself

you can change parameters with the predator power enrichment is fuel so if it is below 900 add more power enrichment if it is over 900 take some out . try to get both banks as close to 900 as possible . make sure these settings you change are at wot in second with the nos engaged . if you get the 1st and third banks right around 900 and timing at 24 25 with the 100 shot you should be good to go

125 shot to start and maybe going to 150 later on, so I will make sure to get the timing down a little bit.
