Tune your WET Kit by adding more fuel pills?
I am havinmg my nitrous installed right now. NX dual nozzle wet kit.
I have a great stock tune and was told by a friend that tuned hundreds of LS1 cars and had a wet shot of nitrous at one time, that you don't need to tune the car at all or pull timing on the PCM. I am at 26 degrees right now.
He was saying if your doing a hundred wet shot, to be safe, just add a little more fuel to the equation using the actual Nitrous Jets to make sure it sprays safe on the nitrous and to get it to be tuned right.
Is this correct?
Naturally aspirated my A/F will be in the range 12.5-13.0
on the Nitrous I was told maybe get it at around 11.5 or so.
So if I am running a regular 100 shot wet DUAL NOZZLE I would use
Fuel Jets (What size ??)
Nitrous jet (What size)
So if I add a little more fuel to richen it up, what size fueal jet would I use assuning I am going to use a slightly larger fuel jet to tune the car on the bottle?
Thanks and I hope this makes sense

Ricky,
Are you saying use the regular 100 shot jets that are for my kit, and NOT to add slightly more fuel to be on the safe side the first time I dyno??
I have a dual nozzle so I have those jet numbers somewhere.
Thanks

Your system should have cmoe with a jet card,,that says dual nozzle and the psi of the fuel... If the psi matches run the jets on the card..
If not call me, my guys could have just given you a wrong card.

OK Thanks. I guess he was saying it might be really lean if I just run it the way it is, but I will put it on the dyno and hopefully a 100 shot won't blow up my car on the first run.
I will just tell them to watch the Screen closely in case it starts gettting to lean, they can shut it down

I just read this from Nitro Dave. Sounds to me like he is saying EXACTLY what my buddy was saying and why I started this post to begin with. To get the Air Fuel richer, use the fuel jets on the nitrous system, ie. the JETS.........see below:
Nitro Dave's Nitrous Outlet
First of all.I would have set the NA tune for about 12.5. Then I would have set the airfuel for nitrous to 11.8-12.1. I would suggest tunning the nitrous airfuel by changing the fuel jets in the nozzle. This is the best and safest way to get it right.

Anyone else want to chime in now? Maybe Dave will see thi sand confirm. My buddy said to even run it at 11.5 on the bottle, but I am sure what Dave said above is fine as well.

I just read the answers and didn't see any response above that already said that, but Cool. That makes sense. So as I stated above here is the NX JETS I use for 100 shot wet N20 #52 and Fuel #28. Remember I have a DUAL NOZZLE NX KIT
So if I were to richen the fuel up a bit assuming I was lean on my dyno, what Size/# NEW Fuel Jet would I SWAP OUT the my original 100 shot config. which uses the #28 Fuel Jet to have it add a additional fuel??
Would I just would change the #28 fuel jet to the next size which is a #33 Fuel Jet and normally used for fuel on 150 shot??
Here is a chart I got over the phone from Nitro Dave which might help you answer, but I am not sure if he gave me these for a single nozzle or a dual nozzle?
These are Nitrous Express Jets:
35 Shot= N20 (31) Fuel (18)
50 Shot= N20 (35) Fuel (20)
100 Shot= N20 (52) Fuel (28)
150 Shot= N20 (62) Fuel= (33)
Thanks
Gary

Those jets are different from my dual nozzle kit. On a single nozzle:
50 Shot= N20 (35) Fuel (18)
100 Shot= N20 (52) Fuel (33)
150 Shot= N20 (62) Fuel= (35)
The way I had it figured, for 100 hp, they took and put 50hp jets in each nozzle netting 100hp; So a 200 shot is 52/33 in each nozzle, etc etc. Could be wrong, who knows.

There was a chart on the bag of jets, they looked different than what I posted.
ANyone know for sure what jets you put on each side for 100 shot on an NX Dual Kit?

I am up 2 sizes on the fuel side to run a safe A/F for a 150 shot. Fastech pulled a little timing also. They pulled timing first and then tuned the A/F with the jets. I think I wound up somewhere around 11.8:1.
