So basically the spare tire location is the only place to hide the bottle on our cars that is somewhat safe?

Well it would be out of sight, but according to the poll 66% of us would put it there, so I wouldn't exactly say hidden.

I'm personally just a bit worried about placing the bottle there. Yes its out of sight but is it safe.? I just got hit by a drunk driver 3 weeks ago and my 1/4 panel took the smack. The shop had to use a saw-zaw to cut the spare tire out. lol........that makes me nervious!! I'd much rather place it on the tranny hump now.

would a 5 pound bottle fit in the driver side? And how many pulls could you get out of it?

what are some other alternatves to hiding the bottle in other places besides the spare tire well. there have to be a few places where you could hide it.

Just made a 2nd bottle bracket holder today. Altough I liked having the bottle hidden in the spare tire well, I didnt like the idea of not having my spare since I drive it a bit when its nice out and I'm not going to be getting a remote opener for a while so its more convenient in this location. Dont mind the MDF, i'll paint it black when I get the chance.

Looks like a different solution, but isn't the bottle in a very un-optimum position now?

It fits one of the bottle mounting diagrams HSW sent me. I dont see why it would be un-optimum. The bottle is still angled so the nitrous runs to the bottom of the bottle and the bottle is rotated appx 45* towards the front of the car so that the siphon tube should be getting submerged under acceleration.

hey bacardi, have you ordered/installed your kit yet?

I got my bracket base covered in black material. Looks a bit better but I may rebuild the whole thing later on down the road. Its good for now but theres one or two imperfections on it that bug me.

i like that setup, dementia. only problem is that spot is home to a JL audio 10W6 in my car. if i didn't have ttops, id put the bottle where you have the sub, or just have my setup like yours, but i like to take the tops out.

Yea I have the t-top problem in the summer but when I saw this sub and amp I just couldn't pass it up. 2000 watt sub and an 800 watt amp for $200. That and the 20 bux I spent building the box it didn't break the bank for a bit of thump. The T-Top area was they only place that bahemoth would fit. I normally just stash the T-Tops in the hatch area up top with a towel in between them or in the back seats since I hardly ever carry people in the back.
