It's not as pretty as a lot of these bottle mounts, but it is strong and light and will never rust (aluminum and stainless bolts) :-) and I built it out of **** that was just lying around.

Great thread. Does anyone make a special mount I could use to put the bottle in the spare tire area? I have a NX 10 pound bottle and would like to mount it as discreetly as possible.

The 860 mount. http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...del=75&dept=11
I was going to recommend Zex bottle brackets, looks like Nitrous Outlet also offers padded brackets now though.

Damn, dual on the hump is sick. Mine is temporarily mounted where the passenger seat is, because I'm waiting for NX to send me their new style billet mount and am getting new seats so the passenger seat isn't in right now.

I also like duals on the deck. Looks sick on cars with cages. I would put mine there, but It's hard to open them when youre strapped in with a 5 point belt.

Agreed, I am trying to figure out how to make it work. I dont think any of the dual bottle brackets fit on that with out modification. I am in the works of figuring that out, clean setup.

God I get so tired of seeing this:

This was a freak accident caused by extreme conditions, and should not influence peoples decisions in power adders

with that much damage, it wouldn't really matter if it was on the hump or in the spare tire area. to be honest, i'd rather it be closer to me than in the spare tire area. i'm no explosives expert, but i would hope that it being closer to the middle of the car would lessen the chance of an outsider getting the brunt of the explosion. no reason they should suffer because of my choices. the spare tire area only puts a few inches and a little bit of sheetmetal between the bottle and outside world. and to think of a collision in that area. that puts a lot of fuel and a lot of oxidizer in pretty close proximity. that does raise the matter of getting bottles pressure tested every so often too.

The hump is in the center of the car - theoretically the safest spot. I have mine mounted on the hump and throw a sweat shirt or jacket over it if I dont want it seen.

Anybody have ideas of which dual nitrous bottle bracket will work on a hump with a sponsers hump plate? Or at least which bracket can be modified easily enough to make it work? It has to be somewhat narrow mounting to fit on the tunnel plate.
I have a cage now and plan on having both go on the hump and under the cage bar.
