What shot is everyone running on their stock bottom end? I'm running a 125 and I've heard the motors can hold up to 175. So give me some numbers and let me know if it blew or ran great. Thnx.

i currently have the 150hp jets in my TNT kit.......runs great. right now, i'm more worried about upgrading my fuel system than my stock motor.

About a 225 at the crank here. Alot of people have been pushing around the 200 mark without any issues. Spraying that much is really not set it and forget it though. You want to keep a real close eye on things to prevent a problem.

I ran a dual stage 250 NX MAF with a completely stock engine with 97000 miles on it with no problems.Although I used a stand alone fuel system with 116 in that fuel system.

I am currently at 135rwhp. I have run on my Z06, 75, 95, 125, 135, 150, 175 and 200. My goal is 200/250 area to end up with 550/600rwhp on a stock long block-LS6.

Nitrous is consumed at a rate of .8 lbs per 100 shot per 10 seconds.

FYI

Sooo .8lbs in a 15lb bottle means 18.75

18.75x10 = 187.5 secs of 100 shot on a 15lb
187.5/60 = 3 mins of 100 shot on a 15lb

1.5 mins of 200 shot... considering a time of aprox 9 secs of effective use..

9 runs..

woaaa it gets expensive

thanks for the info man..

Remember, you have to keep your pressure consistant for this equation to work correctly.

On my H/C motor with stock bottom-end, I started with a 75 shot (dyno numbers and track times in sig) and just recently moved up to a 100 shot, but haven't gotten to do any testing at this level yet.

Yeah, but at a 225 I can only get 5 full clean passes before I start having problems holding 1100 psi between runs.

It's alot cheaper if you have a refill station and buy wholesale.

Would having 2 bottles help getting the rest of the first bottle out?

i mean like 1 bottle open and the other closed, as soon as the 1st starts losing pressure you open the 2nd bottle..

Would No1. Would that get the rest of the first bottle out and eventually you will loose the rest on the second bottle (as i understand refills must be done on empty tanks?)

Would No2. The pressure wont be enough and i will just dump half of my second bottle on the first and loose the rest on the 2 bottles anyway..

Refills do not have to be done with the bottle empty. Alternating bottles would help the pressure problem but instead of carrying the extra 35lbs in the car it's just easier to swap them if you can.
