Yea it's for a single nozzle set-up, where you replace the gas with propane. I'll have to think about it for converting known numbers to DP (math).

i have it mounted in the spare tire well. i cut a board that mounts about halfway up in the well and then i cut a hole in it big enough to let just the top part of the bottle stick through it, then i just have straps holding it in

That bottle will also fit in the vette spare well, with/without a cover. I don't want tech to see it so I was going with a smaller bottle.

i had to remove the overflow saftey valve because my bottle is upside down.

i don't believe you have to if you run it right side up.

(correct me if i am wrong robert)

I'm concerned about keeping propane stored inside the vehicle, it would be nice if someone made a tank that fits in a desirable location externaly. I know you can have made what ever you want, it would be much cheaper to order in quantity though. Robert had the right idea of finding someone to bankroll him... anyone grabbing the bull by the horns here would have ground floor opportunity. a long skinny cylinder with the valve in the side? blow off protection? Something safer than a charged propane cylinder inside the car. You take a rupture on the system and it could get hot quick inside the car. Just a concern I have. Thought about the 1# (if they last as long as the nitorus tank)under the hood but I guess engine heat would be a problem.

something else to be considered is just using a 2.5 lb nitrous bottle but have some type of adapter made that would allow the filling station to pump propane into the n20 bottle instead (and then of course finding someone that would actually pump propane into it)

that way you have what could be a little more stable container and blow off protection. plus it would look better if you had to have it in the open

Just like a n2o bottle, if it gets too hot you have to have an escape for extra psi or bottle will blow up. This is another safety issue running propane in the interior, esp if your a smoker. Now chances of the bottle getting hot enough to blow up is small, but...

Might be good idea. could have a 5/8lb mother bottle at home.

well actually i never thought about going to get like say a 20 lb bottle filled, convert the fitting to AN and then syphone or pump that into a n20 bottle.

VERY good idea robert, but would you have to take the pick up tube out of the n20 bottle since a propane bottle doesn't have one?

i am sure if you walked up to a propane filling station with a nitrous bottle you would be laughed at.

You'ed have to play with discs in blow off on n2o bottle as their release pressure is mucho higher than propane would ever see, or maybe because a n2o bottle is rated at such a higher psi wouldn't need anything?

Right, why would you need a blow off if the container is a lot stronger than any pressure the gas would ever see, unless its a federal fire saftey code type of thing being where its better to dump the pressure in case of a fire than wait until the bottle blows.

IIRC the n2o bottles are rated at 3500psi and burst disc around 1500psi. I do know as fact that heating a propane to 95* results in 160psi, so you would have to have a propane filled n2o bottle in a fire to cause enough pressure for an explosion.

How do you go about filling a bottle with propane? It doesn't need to be pushed in like nitrous, does it? Do you just simply attach it to a bigger bottle and open the valve and when the pressure equalizes, it's filled? If it's that simple, I think I may go the route of the 2 lb nitrous bottle and fill it myself from a large propane tank.
