Default Sprayed for the 1st time today, it was fun!

I have had my kit forever, buit had a few issues with motors etc. I still haven't sprayed it out of the hole. Have a NX Dual Nozzle Kit with all the extras (Bottle opener, FPSS, Window Stch., Heater, etc etc)

I was with my wife, so I wanted to just take it easy. I have an 01 C5 Vette, A4, 4000 stall.

I was on an open tollway with no cars, and I was doing about 50 MPH at about 2,500 RPM's. Had my window switch at 4,000 and 6,200. I had my bottle pressure at 1,000 PSI.

I dropped the hammer at 55mph and it kinda felt wierd at first (cause it down shifted) but then I felt the nitrous go, it just started to feel really fast and pull , now it wasn't as HARD as I thought it would be, but again I was already at 50-55 before I hit it.

I did it again from about 55 MPH and it was hauling some major but, but it was smoother this time but fast.

Now I want to do it from a slower MPH or out of the hole. I bet that senario allows you to REALLY feel the Torque! vs. from a 55 MPH roll.

It was cool though and can't wait to do it again. I have a slow leak in my back right new Nitto 555 DR, so I need ot get that figured out.

Just FYI: I am Running 22 degrees timing (took some out, but might put some back in later) . On the spray My A/F was 11.2 so I was really FAT on the dyno and only picked up 90 RWHP, (Have NX's 150 fuel Jets and 100 hp N20 Jets) I am thinking I will swap at least one side of my dual nozzle fuel jet, or maybe both of the fuel jets back to a 100 shot Fuel Jet (#18 vs. the #22 have on each side now for my fuel jet) which will lean it out and bring my A/F higher than 11.2 and make it more responsive.

Pretty cool.

ALso it took my bottle about 10 minutes to get from 600 to 1,000 psi. Is that normal? Or does that mean I need to get it filled again? Between the testing of the purge and the dyno runs etc I bet I went through a lot?

Also I have the NX Bottle heater and solonoid that shuts it off at a certain psi (I think?) what is the PSI it gets toi before it shuts off?

Also when the bottle heater is on the square red switch panel light on my NX Panel is soooo dim you can't see it in the day, and it barely lights up very bright at night. I guess this is normal? The ARM/ON switch is nice and bright Red in contrast.

Thanks

This stuff id fun, can't wait to see what my track times are and might go Friday

Stuff's like crack - you'll be back!

Get the A/F leaned out and it will hit better. Trying it from a stop, I hope you have some tires

Ten minutes to pressure, that's great. up here in the NW, sometimes it takes 40 minutes to reach pressure. Glad your having fun.

Yes I remeber you, you were running 7.5's and were kicking some butt!

Nice run. When are you spraying, On Off etc? Are you on DR's?

We need ot go head to head now that I have the Juice. I was running low 7's NA, but my first few runs on the bottle Dec 3rd were 7.50 at 98.33 MPH with a 1.90 60'. Dissapointing, buy I will get better.

What is your name and when are you going again?

We will race next time. Good to hear from you. You raced my friend Scott the Big Guy

BTW, I used ot have a Yank SS3600, before I traded it for the SS4000. The SS3600 will be wayyyyy better on the Gas. the 4,000 is a little tall for the bottle, but in the 1/4 it might be OK

my name is joe. i think with some good traction youll see sixes on the bottle , if you spay quick off the line. Just let me know when you gonna be there ill meet ya. Im working on getting some funds for an f13, ls6 intake, and possible a fuel system upgrade and a bigger shot. I sprayed off the line and through the shifts on the 7.37 pass felt awsome. I usally spray through the shifts tranny seems to be strong. I just hope it holds up, probable wont spary off the line often or att all.
