Default why products cost more, NXRicky rambleing.

There are some sale pitches going on in the nitrous world I feel should be address.
Why one system cost more than anothers kit.. Simple the kick is nothing more than a knock off.. And to be in business to support the product costs money.. That cost is passed on to the consumer, business 101.

Now everything costs in business but that is not the driving feature of a systems cost..
you buy a product and need help, tech people cost money
you want a toll free line that costs money,
being able to check your problem in house quickly, again cost money..
Buildings to house the company costs money...
R&D costs money
government wants there cut costs money.

Some people would like the world to think they are getting screwed in one fashion or another just to get a sale. Lets face it if you work alone at your house, on a cell phone and your tech people are on cell phones, that is not a business its a hobby... NO overhead, no employees, no insurance, employee tax/. and o yea you knock off someone elses products you do not have any R&D expense..
There is absolutely nothing wrong with working out of your house, and having buddies help you try to make a living but please come on stop with the your paying for their advertising, that is nothing but a bold face knock off bastard lie..

Look guys buy what you want its a free country, but do not fall for the tactics. Business cost money and if you want the support, the new products, the tech support, the warranty support, the ability to get someone on the phone, that costs money.... /

NXRicky, I totally hear what you are saying, but I was wondering if you have a reply to the post I made in regards to the Maximizer II: https://ls1tech.com/forums/nitrous-oxide/422374-nxricky-i-have-mastermind-ii-app-question.html

Since it 'treads' on the 'people making thier products expensive compared to product x' territory, more directly, why should I have to buy product x when I already own product y, and since you made this post after I made mine, thus you may have overlooked it (even though your name is in the title), I figured I would bring it to your attention in a post I am sure you'll get notified about...

Thanks,

Dennis

I doubt very seriously Ricky went out of the way to not answer your question. Did you PM him when you noticed it slipped by?

Oh, I never said he did, I just brought it up in case it did slip by...

I just figure there are other potential customers of the Maximizer II that would like the same tech info covered, plus I would like an answer kinda soon so I can tell the wife exactly what I want... You know how anxious they get to have thier christmas shopping done and over with...

Plus, I am just a tad worried if I don't let her know soon, she'll just get impatient and go ahead and buy me something she thinks I *need*...

I didn't mean to sound harsh. BTW Have your wife call mine and explain that is's okay and in fact highly acceptable to give performance related items!!

Are you kidding me? I don't want to RISK the chance that your wife would convince mine that it isn't!!!

Question

Ricky not trying to start any wars here, but you keep referring to knockoffs. What exactly has been knocked off? Is someone infringing on a copyright? I think this happens quite often in the nitrous industry...if its a big item that potentially could make large profits why not patent the idea? Just curious that is all....

You are a wise man Obwan. Okay back to the nitrous ... Rickys gone to study up and come back with a profound, dare I say, (dare, dare) comprehensive analysis of the given situation. Hopefully he knock you dead with his Witchita Wisdom. I'll be watching since my new super torquer 408 Iron Block is going to require FJO/Maximizer/boxes to lay down those tracks of rubber.

cantdrv65, hey there this is Dennis, the guy that flew down to drive back the Camaro you sold to Chris...

I must say the Boyd Fury's look pretty damn nice on my black T/A, as I ended up with them... I had them refinished to remove the curb rash and dings, then I spent 3 days polishing them out and they look like new... Added some new Nittos out back and put some 275 width tires up front... Having the car lowered made all the difference in the way they look... Oh, I also ditched the crappy Boyd centercaps and put some solid billet ones with no logos or anything on them...

Awesome Dennis! I LOVED those wheels... I think they are one of the best looking wheels you could mount up on an F-bod. Hows Chris's project going? I just had some 335 nittos mounted on my stock Z06 wheels...fit without tubbing.

Ricky, I voiced my oppinion on that in almost the same words, and I think I have been banned from theCorral. It seems to me that they think you are only there to sell products, not help us. I know your no slouch Bro, I always say you da man, and the NX crew is da **** Maybe some talking the the corral owner will get ya in, You guys should be made mods of the nitrous section, instead of the guy who are now that dont know a thing about it. I take it to offense when someone bashes NX like that

Steve I have help more non NX customers on the corral than NX customers, with drawings, jetings, just old fashion tech.. But they do not allow me to post pictures like before, and I felt like pushing a bolder up a hill over there. This forum is alot more open for people to talk and discuss and try to help everyone out that uses nitrous, NX customer and non NX customers.. We are just one big happy family over here...
