Default yet another newb with a couple ?'s

Well Im considering buying a nitrous kit for my T/A. My current mods are lid, LT's, ORY, cutout, hooker catback, and 4.10s. (Its an M6)

I was planning on going with a basic wet kit, using a WOT switch, window switch, and purge, spraying 100 shot maybe 125. Is a bottle heater or anything else absolutely necessary? I live in TX if that makes a difference.

I dont plan on going and having my car tuned for nitrous, unless its necessary. We usually have 93 octane around here but sometimes I have to settle for 92, is that fine with a stock tune while spraying? Last time I dyno'd I was perfect at 12.9 all the way if that matters. I want to be extremely safe because lets face it, if I mess something up, I cant afford a new motor! this car is my DD Thanks - Darren

A set of colder plugs and yes, the bottle heater will help out. You also might want to consider a fuel pressure safety switch too, but other then that it looks like you have everything covered.

If you can't afford to be without your daily driver, you can't afford to NOT dyno tune after your nitrous install. Its too risky. get the custom dyno tune and spray away!

DAMN! I cant decide if I wanna go with Cam or Nitrous first. I dont wanna spend over a grand and a cam with all the necessities and a tune will hit just about a grand, thats why I was leaning towards nitrous, it would have stayed under 700

If Im gonna have to get a tune, Id probably rather go with a cam, hell I dont even know im confused. LOL help!

Don't tell me you were thinking of installing a cam and not getting a dyno tune? Thats nuts. A base tune in my car put down 365RWHP. A custom tune put down 397 RWHP. Either way - you need a tune!

spray - spray - spray - you will have much better gains with the spray when compared to cam only!!! The stocker cam reponds well with the spray!

$300 dry system and you don't need all that other garbage or a tune.

A set of good race plugs helps keep the engine together, but keep in mind if you can't afford to trash an engine then you shouldn't be spraying or racing.

$300 dry kit, a window switch, and a TUNE - add other "garbage" (accessories) as you can afford it.

Yeah if you're a complete tool you can spend all your money for the same performance and still damage your engine or more.

All those extra dollars doesn't make the added power any easier on your engine or car.

If you're talking about a dumb mistake, IMO those usually come from a false sense of security after spending all that extra money.
Don't be fooled.
