Default spark plug gap??

We installed a new set of tr-6 plugs gapped at .035 and take off to the track, I sprayed a 175 shot wet and about 2sec. into the spray it felt funny and the fluttered it acted as if it drop a few cylinders, Looking at the play back from the wideband commander the af was 11.5 for a sec then bottom out at 10. We pulled the plugs all where fine made anouther pass all was good 10.9 to 11.4 all the way through, so we decided to spray both kits a 125 wet and 125 dry I left on the wet and turned the dry on at about 700ft it hit hard for a sec and then the same thing it fluttered like cylinders going out the wide band play back shows 11.2 for 7sec and then drops straight down bottom the gauge at 10 again this is where the dry came on, Is it possible its blowing the spark out? should i close the gap up alittle more? or did we gat a set off bad plugs I mean it didnt do it untill the plug change

i just read it didn't do it until the plug change.... what gap was it run at before?

That size shot would not be blowing out a spark at that gap. Have you pulled all the plugs immediatly after the run to check them?

Are you sure you don't have a nitrous delivery problem? Might want to check and see how much gas you're going through by weighing the bottle.

I would try a .032"-.030" gap and possibly a TR-7 plug, or similar using both stages. GL

After watching the video during the burn out you can hear a cylinder or two going out at around 5500 rpm for a sec or two, Greg thinks it a bad plug so he will change them in the morning but it will be thursday before we know if that was it due to we dont want to spray 250 on the street

CATs right, 2 fiddy is pushing that heat range plug when you hit both kits. I think you should check the ground strap real close to see if it want's something a little colder.

Good luck and keep us updated.

It's probably not the plugs, but I'd test them anyway.
Try another set of non-resistor plugs like Autolite AR472
and see if the problem goes away.
If it's still there, then it's not a plug problem.

This seems like how cat overtemp protection would
behave; trying to "quench" things. Do you know if
it has been disabled, or not?

well just to let everone know we changed the plugs and found a problem not sure if it had anything to do with it or not but the vaccum line going to my vaccum modulator had came off so fixing a vaccum leak or new spark plugs fixed the problem
