Default Nitro daves plate Dyno #'s

I just dyno yesterday and thought I would post this up for anyone thinking about getting Nitro Daves plate conversion kit. I got Nitro Daves plate conversion kit for the stock throttle. I ended up picking up 97 HP and 131 Tq on the 100 shot . My bottle pressure was just under 900 psi and I am sure if I had a bottle warmer it would have easily picked up those 3 extra ponies. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS DAVES PLATE ROCKS! Easy install for the conversion, clean looks and puts up great numbers. Good work on the plate setup dave.

Here's a couple. I need to clean up the braided lines a bit. I am so glad that stupid nozzle is gone.

very very nice. Accurate jetting too. Which is a good thing. Its much better to have an advertised "100 shot" actually make 100 hp within +/- a few ponies.

Enjoy!

Beer99C5 I had some other changes to the motor since my previous dyno (LS6 intake, ported throttle body and an ASP Pulley) so I really dont know if there was any N/A gain in power.

I had the NX nozzle kit and was thinking of purchasing the NX MAF ends to upgrade my kit. Dave came out with the plate kit which seemed to be a lot nicer to me. The conversion kit was $225+shipping which included the plate, new jets and everything needed for the install. Total conversion time was under 30 minutes. I would recommend this thing to anyone wanting to spray.

If anyone want to buy a NX fogger nozzle and jets Pm me an offer cause i wont need that thing ever again!

I will get to check it out first hand tommorrow nite (feedback friday, I am sure i will be )! I get parolled in the morning and fly home for a couple days then fly out for a water survival school in Lafayette LA for a few days. I hope to have it bolted on end of March.

I will have a full blown how to on it, already discussed some install tricks with Dave on the C-5 application.

Waiting on the parts Dave is sending for the C-5 application. I am having Matt HSW make up custom length Black hoses for both the wet and dry stages. Taking my time and hope to have a nice trick two stage system when done . Having a great expierence using the site sponsors with the systems Dean and Dan @ DynoTune have been great, as well as Dave @ Nitrous Outlet, and Matt @ HSW is just waiting on my measurements for the hoses. Then its coordinating with Vin at 860 to git r done.

nice. im goin to get that setup for my car eventually. it looks clean. after a few runs on nitrous, can you check your plugs? i think this will provide even distribution, but since its one of the first kits to spray so close to the intake, just want to make sure. i have some ideas to not hide it, but make it look simple. now i just need money.

Beer99C5, if u are down here on a friday nite, my f-body group meets up at 9. if ur interested in meetin up with us, send me a pm

so whats the advantage of this plate setup over, say the TNT power ring? and does the plate setup come with adjustable jetting (range? 100-?) and when you start to get into the bigger jetting are there any drawbacks to either setup, I.E. nozzle vs. plate that would cause one to out perform the other? sorry for so many questions, but i cant search right now, if i could i wouldnt ask. i cant use a phone either for that matter, otherwise i'd just call dave...im kinda floatin in the ocean right now. thanks for the help

The kit is adjustable I think the lowest shot is 50hp and goes all the way up to a 200 shot. I think that my regular nozzle set up was only good to 150 hp. The plate has 12 holes which should provide a better distribution of the nitrous/fuel flow through rather than one hole with a nozzle. Correct me if I am wrong but isnt the TNT power ring just like having 2 nozzles mounted on your bellows? It doesnt look like it has several different holes for the distribution?

The plate will actually flow over 400 HP. It just comes with jets up to 200hp.

The shark nozzle will flow up to 250 hp. The system just comes with jets up to 150hp.

On the questions about switching from the TNT power ring to our plate. I guess the only advantage would really be a matter of opinion. I think the plate looks cleaner and less busy.

I think the plate systems are the best looking, meaning cleanest, kits on the market for going wet. Probably power wise in the same leauge as the dual nozzle set-ups, meaning flowing the same n2o and fuel. I plan on adding a plate kit as my 3rd stage, however, a different brand, but, it's all good.
