Default NOS 125 Dry questions

Just a quick question for ya, I've got the NOS dry shot up to 125hp that comes with the 15lb bottle. The kit says it will stop spraying if the computer detects that the motor isn't getting enough fuel. Should I trust this? If I miss a gear am I going to blow a hole in the intake?

There is a Fuel Pressure Safety Switch that comes with the NOS dry kit. It's not a computer, it's a sensor. The FPSS will shut the spray down if the fuel pressure drops. You can trust the FPSS if it's hooked up properly. If you miss a gear, don't hit the gas pedal.

Thanks man, thats what I needed to know. Couple other newb NOS questions, with this setup I've heard I don't need a tune, is this true? And, will I be safe spraying the full 125 shot on a stock 99 LS1? Thanks again.

Get a tune, just to be on the safe side. What other mods do you have? That will determine how close you'd be to maxing out your stock fuel system with a 125 dry shot.

Get a tune, and you'll be good to go with a 125 rwhp dry shot. The '99-'00 LS1s came with smaller injectors (26.4 lb. vs. 28.8 lb.) than the '98s and '01-'02s, so keep that in mind. If you continue to spray a 125 rwhp dry shot, and plan on adding headers, etc. you'll need to look into upgrading the fuel system.

Im assuming you have a six speed? is so a window switch will be a big help for you. it will shut the nitrous off at a pre detemined rpm so if you do miss a shift it wont rev to the moon.

that is incorrect. 2000s came with the smaller injectors not 99s.

Can someone confirm this for me? I've read over 100 times on here that '99s came with smaller injectors. I just searched and found the same information, and also saw some threads where some say the '99s and '00s came with the 26 lb. injectors. Which I wasn't aware of. Need this set straight for me.

Yep, the 99 and 00 y-bodys and f-bodys had the smaller injectors.
