Default Sprayed for the first time..some questions.

Finally got out and let the nitrous rip. I could DEFINITLY feel the power gain..even with low psi bottle pressure. The car felt good threw the nitrous..i did however have very slight backfiring threw the exhaust. Not really bad or anything..just little "pops" What could cause this?

Also i have BMN window switch all wired in..and im pretty confident its all wired correctly. We were just testing the nozzle to make sure it was spraying properly..and it would spray while the car was sitting in neutral not even started. Is this normal? Is there anyway besides spraying i can actually tell if the BMN switch is working properly? When i sprayed..i just rolled into it..then hammered it..not knowing it my BMN was working properly.

Is this a wet kit or dry? Also were you getting pops on decel or while you were at WOT?

Not familiar with the BMN switch. Doesn't sound like it's working to me? I take it you already set the min RPM greater than 0? Maybe it didn't work right since it saw no tach signal, you think it wouldn't work at all without a tach signal though.

I suspect your poping issue is just a rich condition since the bottle pressure was way low. I would pull plugs just to double check anyway and test the fuel solenoid for the hell of it. How much are you spraying and what plugs are you running?

I was kinda thinking it was bottle pressure as well. I tested the solenoids before i shot..and theres definitly fuel coming threw along with the nitrous. Its jetted for a 125 shot..and im running NGK-tr6's. Im gonna throw the 150 jets in this week.

No, i had a friend of mine who is very well knowledge based in LS1 tuning. We did pull some timeing for when the nitrous is activated.

His bottle pressure was low, but not that low. I think it was around 900. The fueling in the base tune is conservative for motor around 12.5:1. And I believe he is using the stock NX jetting for 125 hp. It had alot of knock retard on spray, all the way down to 16 degrees. The best guestimate on afr I can give is what the narrow band said, 870 mV which would be lean if that is correct.

I'm thinking it has more to do with the shark nossle not spraying straight. Shouldn't it be angled toward the center of the intake opening?

yes, it should be spraying straight into the center of the intake so that it doesnt spray on the intake and puddle and pool... that way you get proper atomization, if it was hitting the intake and puddling up then that coudl be the backfires every time it was pulling a drop of it out of the intake?

The popping on decel also happened to me.On a wet kit.
I ran it rich, just extra fuel.

mine has been popping lately and people told me it was probably becuase it was running rich. which i thought it was.
once i put it on the dyno the other day i found out it as far from rich, 15.1 A/F.
my car was popping becuase of how lean it was running.
if i were you i would strap a fuel pressure gauge to the windshield and see how that goes before spraying it anymroe.

Fuel pressure is fine. Stays right where its supposed to. I have a fuel pressure gauge on my a-pillar. I got the heater on last night and let it warm up...and i have not heard a popping since the first time i sprayed. Everything seems to be working pretty good now.
