I wouldn't advise it unless you have a built motor that is made to turn a lot of rpm's and you would have to have a 28" tire. Good gears for the kit with a stock bottom end motor are 3:73s or 3:89's. Anything higher you will have to hit 5th gear on the kit. With a 26" tire.

I did not mean that he could not spray with 4.30 or 4.56, just would not advise it with stock bottom end w/ heads and cam.you would have to turn 7000+ thru traps. 4.10 w/ 26 in. tire should have you trapping around 6800 @ 126 in 4th with M6.

I have sprayed a 200 shot, stock bottom end, heads/cam (231/237 TSP cam), A3, 12-bolt with 4.30's. Rev limiter at 6700. Sprayed through shifts. No problems in over 2 years (until I stood it on the rear bumper and broke my great little stock engine). Best 60' was 1.34; best time 10.08 at 130+. I know 'next' had almost the same set up as mine and went into the 9's with it (same stock bottom end, etc, etc, 4.30, with a glide).
Can it be done yes. BUT we both were running 30" tires.
David (I have since changed my set-up a little)
