stand alone fuel ?
is the purpouse of a stand alone fuel system to not rely on the stock pump? so it will be safer by relying on its own pump.
i am currently running a 150 shot through dave plate and i have the stock pump still also timming is still stock. i would like to replace it soon with a racetronix pump for future mods and would like to stick with n2o and eventualy do a dual stage. another question is since i can put race gas in the cell could i run a bigger shot since it has its own pump? the reason i would like to do a 200 wet shot progressed and a 75-100 dry shot. i just dont want to run out of fuel.
Thanks
Eric

A few main reasons for a stand alone system.
1. To keep from getting a lean spike. When pulling from the stock fuel rails it can have a lean spike when the nitrous hits due to a sudden drop in fuel pressure.
2. Have a more adequate supply of fuel. The stock fuel lines and rails can only flow so much. When pulling from the rails for nitrous....it can starve the whole system of fuel.
3. As stated you can run high octane fuel in the stand alone and run pump gas in the tank. This will allow you to run a larger shot than normal.
4. You have the ability to run low pressure in a stand alone.
