Default Stand Alone Fuel Requirements

Will a 1.5 gallons stand alone lasts through 25lbs of nitrous or will i have to have around 3gallons? I would much rather run of nitrous way before fuel.

When using race gas in a stand alone, will i have to change the jets out for a smaller fuel jet than recommended (since the recommendation is for pump fuel)? What fuel is recommended for a 200 dual stage? It seems like most people on this site are running 104+/-. Would anything higher be beneficial or just a waste?

I'm assuming I'll have to tune NA and pull a few degrees of timing, then start tuning on the nitrous/stand-alone and see where the A/F is before the start switching jets if it's recommended?

I have Harris Speed Works' standalone, it's a little smaller than 1 gallon and I can go through like 3 15lb bottles and still have over half a tank left, that **** lasts forever!!!

That's great news, I won't have to relocate the battery. What fuel do you use and what size shot?

Since I have the standalone I put whatever the highest they have at the pump at the track for some cushion and it was feeding the 200 wet.

yeah the Harris Speed unit is just shy of 1 gallon and it lasts well over half a dozen runs down the 1320. should be good to go if your using a bigger one.

So you would have 2 fpss's? One for the dry off the fuel rail and one for the wet? That sucks. Do you still have the stock bottom end?

are there any cheaper stand alone systems? i want one but i really dont see a need for the cost....
exspecially for a badass fuel pump to pump 100, 150 or even 250hp (a stock one could handle this power easily)
i dont think a metal tank should be more than 75 bux, i dont see the need for them to be more than 300 bux...

the reason for the cost is because it is all bolt-on. you don't need to be guessing which braket will work or make ur own bracket. the kits come with the tank, regulator, pump and some hoses not to mention the wiring and install manuel

Yeah, i'll tell ya, I probably could've put together a standalone system for a couple hundred less, but it wouldn't have been anywhere near as nice as the HSW kit which was well worth the extra money. It is a really nice piece, everything is direct bolt in, and it's a really clean setup and looks like it came that way from the factory!

We disighned our standalone systems to support high hp shots with out having to worry about fuel supply problems. The cool thing about it is that you can run pump gas in the stock tank and race gas in the dedicated. With a stand alone you also do not have to worry about getting bad gas at the gas pump. Just run race gas in the dedicated.

Here are a few pictures of some of our installed in different applications.
This one goes in the fuse area and requires no modifications to install.

This one requires relocating the battery to the back of the car. The stock batter hold downs hold the unit in the car.

This one is for the C5. It tucks down in the nose of the car out of the way.

This is a 3 gallon that goes in the back of the car.

We also offer custom annodizeing or polishing.

We have several other models to choose from and are in the process of adding more.
Check them out here.
