Default Is it safe????

......to run say the HSW wet kit with just the standard equiptment?? I know a window switch and fuel poressure safety switch are a good idea but don't have the cash for them right now. Does anyone run these kits right out of the box? I was only planning on 100 shot at the most for right now.

Is it safe? yes.
FPSS not that expensive. GET ONE. It's worth it.
Window switch. Nice, added safety, but not "necessary".
I don't have the HSW kit. I have the Nitrous Direct Dry kit. There are tons of threads about both wet/dry kits.

I would run without the FPSS as long as you are sure your fuel system is up to par.

The window switch is not needed as long as you can control of the spray through the rpm's.

It is a good idea to have both.

What other mods do you have? Manual or auto trans?

I ran a 150 shot on my car with nothing but a momentary actuator switch to turn it on, I pushed the button when I wanted to spray. It worked great!

I have a M6 with a P&P throttle body, custom catback with flowmaster muffler (gone as soon as I can afford headers and tru duals), K&N, 160 thermo, free raim air mod. I just have the most basic bolt ons as you can see. I want some more power but I'm kinda poor lol.

im not a big fan of the fpss but in a m6 you definatly want a window switch or i would put the nitrous on a button so you can hit and release it by hand if you miss a gear or something

I kinda like the idea of push button but that is gonna cost almost as much as a window switch to install right, so why not just go the easier safer route.

Since you are a M6 I HIGHLY reccomend the window switch. Do you HAVE to run one? No, but if you miss a shift and tap the rev limiter it might not be pretty since fuel is cut. If you have a shift light you could program it to come on a little sooner, but I'd rater be safe then sorry.

Let me know if you have any questions with the kit.

Thanks,

Not too far, around 35 miles. Figure the ride depending on traffic would be 45 minutes to an hour.

Thanks,
Matt
