Heres a compression calculator. That should help you out some. Just be sure to get some strong forged internals.

You should also post some more info like do you want a stroker setup or not or do you just want a plain 350 CI motor. Once you have all that you can go from there.

I put down a max of 707hp to the wheels last year with my small block.

383, Callies crank, eagle rods and JE pistons, billet caps, o-ringed block.
I parting out my car right now too. If you are interested in any of it please PM me.

The most important thing you can do to a small block is ditch the factory 4 bolt mains and get some nice billet caps. It makes a huge difference.
Trust me, it sucks when you blow-out all the mains and the expensive cranks pushes through the oil pan. I learned that lesson.

I always tell everyone, don't forget to lower the rings and coat the pistons.
As said above, don't be cheap on the crank & rods either.

I was running the JE extreme duty pistion whish have the rings pushed way down.

What do you run for coating? Just curious, since I hear good things about that, but never personally tried it.

Next time I go visit the engine shop I'll find out. We coat the skirts for friction and the tops for heat. I trust my shop, so I do what he says, no ??? asked. I have the JE's in my little 557" and they worked out great. We were planning to use either JE or Bill Miller in the 705" & 760", so you know we trust them.

I always liked je pistons they make a hell of a piston. If your on a budget i would call je and see what opion you have for on the shelf pistons. You need to know what chamber on the head also.
