Default Cutout Switch to Opener Switch?

Ok, i have the qtp cutout switch. i got the switch panel for my nitrous from dave, and i am trying to make the switch for the bottle opener work for my cutout. the new switch has 6 pins, and the old one has 8, all used. how do i wire this up?

I believe the qtp switch is also lighted so thats why there is 8 pins. Two of the extra ones should of gone to a separate ground to complete the circuit for the light in the switch.

Note: little black dots are connection points, if there is no black dot and wires intersect then there is NO connection there.

First off there should only be 2 wires coming from the cutout. In the image above its the largest black wires coming from the cutout with connection points A & B.

Lets start wiring:
•12volt supply will go to the pin #2
•Ground will go to pin #5
•Pin #1 and #6 will be connected together to cutout wire A
•Pin #3 and #4 will be connected together to cutout wire B
•Thats the end of it!

Is it understandable now?

I dont know how else to explain it but there should only be 2 wires coming from the Cutout(not the switch but the actual cutout unit itself). In the grey wire harness there should only be 2 wires coming out of it. Find these two and you ll find the A/B.

If you could post pics of the wiring harness I may be able to help more.

How many connections will you have left? two? It should be the ground wires for the light of the old switch, then yes tape it up.

btw do you have a multimeter??

I tried this after many other configurations and FINALLY I can get my switch to work. Thank you so much!

I have a DMH cutout and had to make a daisy chain type harness to make the two wires from the cutout motor into four.
