I'm cutting 1.7s 60fts on NITTOS with a lowered 6speed. Most people say they cant do **** with nittos, I dont have that problem. And if I got a 1.6 with a lowered 6speed I'd jump for joy. Damn right I'm happy with my 1.7s, better than 100s of others out there.

I also cut 1.7s on nittos with my prior trans-am a 98 auto with 273 gears.

I'm just trying to figure out why you are trying to compare the 60ft of a 4000stall car to a lowered 6speed car.

I'm still running the stock rear W/T 3.73's in my car. My car runs 7.20's 1/8 mile @ 98-99 mph. I leave at 4000 rpm on 26-11.5 16 ET streets. Usually cut a low 1.6 60 ft. Drag radials will break it before slicks will. My brother broke 2 10 bolts with Nitto's.

I'm just trying to figure out why you are trying to compare the 60ft of a 4000stall car to a lowered 6speed car.

Do you remember where the conversation started? You said there is nothing wrong with Nittos.......and there's not if you want to stay in the 1.7 60' range. Do you think you would pull the same 60' times if you were running a pair of ET Streets, or ET Street Radials, or ET Drags? My original point here was that Nittos are not track tires. Will they hook better than regular street tires? Of course. MOST people are not going to be able to "hook" on these tires though.

And you are correct, a stalled auto car will normally own a 6 speed car at the track, assuming same power levels.

Just spray it and worry about the rear if it breaks!

I'm leaning back towards wet so I can go cheap and not buy new injectors.

I already have everything I need to go wet, if I go dry I'll need 42# injectors at least and that would add another $400 on top of what I already spent. Even if I wanted to get fancy, I could get a 2 stage plate and extra noids and it would still probably be less than new injectors.

That's debateable. Sure, I'm running in the 90's on % duty cycle but she's been that way for years.

Edit: Besides, if I have to spend much more, this thing will NEVER leave the garage and we can't have that can we?
