Default Maybe done for the season

We had a track rental at MIR monday and i put it on the bumper and drug it a bit it came down hard and looks like i lost the oil pan and bent my kooks. paf oh **** bars helped me some it could have been worse. the oil cought fire and purned the plastic cowl and some of the brake stuff. im going out now to pull it apart and look at the damage.

anyone else put a glide on the bumper? we had a 30" tire and a 1.8 first gear was only the 225 shot. damn car came up fast. looks like im goan switch te stages next time 150 first 225 2nd. i never got to try the 2nd stage this was on the shake down run.

Glide on the bumper

I thought the glide was gonna be my fix.

Looks like the limiters will have to work.... I hope

I hooked a 200 shot on a 1.80 glide with front end limiters keepin it down, I stood it on the bumper with a 150 shot and no limiters at 5000 off the brake. Try coming down to 3600 (what works for me) and some limiters. Cut a 1.28 60 liftin a foot off the ground on a 29.5 x 10.5 phoniex with a 175 shot off the brake at 3600, ran 9.13 @ 148.

looks like travel limiters are in my future how effective can they be? i cut a lazy 1.32 on the 225 shot but with the new spark plugs and tune it go 1.25 i bet. it pulled way harder than last year when i was cutting 1.26.

I have seven adjustments on mine (competition eng limiters) and the 1.28 was with them set in the middle so if the front end was to come up too much i can always adjust them up so it keeps more weight over the front. Easy to tune the car with for different tracks/track preps. As long as the rear tires dont unload your better off keeping the front tires only a foot off of the ground. Remember energy used to go up is wasted energy that could be going foward.

no travle limiters

not to say i wont next year, im going to try to set my car up for big wheelies to make it fun. i will be running a 9.5 class, so i need somthing to make it interesting.
but its all in the suspention and tuneup.
that sucks tho, braking **** sucks big time.

no. the 9.0 was 150 out of the hole and 150 on a window switch at 5,500 rpm 2nd stage hit about 100 feet out.

however even with 300 right out of the hole, i didnt have big wheelies.

this was a tad higher on video, but no bumper.
MIR event, 300 out of the hole, 1.32 60'

its all in the suspention tune up.
as you can tell, no limiters in the front, notice the sag

getting out of the hole good consists of not riding the bumper and smashing **** up.
i know it happens for sure, and in these lsx cars it is very easy. little softer out back, and it may have been fine. those clicks make a big *** differance.
the fronts on 5, rears on 6, would probably help if your weight is right.

how would softer fronts help. if you loosen everything up and it hooks its going on the bumper easyer.
thanks for the help though.

by loosening the fronts, it puts less push.
you went on the bumper, i didnt, i have run just as fast 60'
maybe you should take my tips for what there worth instead of bustin *****. but thats cool either way, its your money getting smashed.
