Default Check this out! NEW Nitrous Product @ SEMA

I saw this new product at SEMA and I freaked. It adds right onto any nitrous system. Uses high pressure air from paintball guns to get 100% more run time from a 10 pound nitrous bottle and no bottle heater. It's about $700, but cool. I thought you all might like to see it.

They have a 15# system also. That would be like carrying around three 10# bottles. You may want to talk to them, they say that most street cars pick up between 1.5 to 2 tenths in the 1/4 with the system and it turns on instantly. I saw Mike the owner of NX at the booth right after I was done. I'm just saying that maybe there is something you don't know. It seemed pretty ligit to me.

Legit, yes.. but dang.. that's expensive.
Did they explain it to you? Looks like it feeds into your bottle or something. They don't show you much.

They said that it used high pressure air around 4000 psi from paintball stores or scuba shops to compensate for the vapor pressure. I think that it keeps the nitrous all liquid then pushes it out. They said that the street racers in KC are all using it because it turns on instantly (no bottle warming) and it pulls the entire run. They also said that it will work at cold temps 40F. They have cheaper systems, but I do not know the cost. It looked hot, I wish I could post some picks. If I can find someone who has run one, I think I'm going to buy one. If it picks up 2 tenths it's cheap, but I'm going to upgrade to the 15# bottle. They said it was only $85 for the 15# bottle.

I guess i should add it does work good and is nice because you dont need a heater, the only down side is that if you have cold nights and turn the nitrogen push system on, it pressurises the bottle to 1000 psi, well when day time comes around the bottle will heat up and the pressure will be higher then normal, due to the fact that nitrogen doesnt compress into a liquid like nitrous.

Up in the stickies Al the moderator has done some write ups and run the system before any of the companies came out with this. There are a few on the market these days, but like was said won't pass tech if ya get caught.

Excactly, that is probably the biggest problem, putting nitrogen in a bottle labeled as Nitrous is not looked to kindly upon by fire depatments, DOT, NHRA, or IHRA.

The way it works is, normally depending on bottle manf. there are three ports on the valve, one is for a gauge, one is for the bust disk, and one is un used. the way it works is the un used port gets a fitting and check valve. Then HPA or nitrogen is used to pressurise the nitrous. this happens because nitrogen does not compress into a liquid. so at the bottom of the bottle you have compressed liquid nitrous and above that you have a layer of nitrogen pushing down on it and up the dip tube at 1000 psi.
