Default some easy nitrous questions

1-- Can i mount a wet kit before the IAT sensor? Will the sensor read a wet kit and do aometing i dont want it to do, should i relocate it?

2-- These stupid NTP/flair fittings are $15 a pop and i need a bunch. I dont want to spend as much for fittings as i did for the kit alone. Can i use other fittings from a hardware store for like $0.50 ea.??

If you mount the nozzle on a wet kit where the IAT will pick it up (if the IAT is in stock location) you're going to be spraying fuel accross in and the MAF. I may not be the smartest guy on the board here, but I'm pretty sure that MAF+Fuel= Dead MAF. If it did work for awhile you'd wind up with a VERY rich condition.

Dry kits are mounted before the MAF. Since they do not inject fuel, the N2O crossing the MAF is read as additional air. The MAF tells the PCM to feed more fuel. Since the wet kit injects fuel on its own so... You can see where this is going.

my lt1 is a little different then ure ls1.

I want to mount my wet nozzle behind the MAF inbetween the 2 hose clamps. But if you look further down the intake elbow, right before the TB on the lest side you can see my IAT. So if my nozzle is mounted AFTER the MAF and before the IAT, will i be ok??

not really. Mount your nozzles in the boot on the throttle body. Or just get a plate that fits in behind the throttle body. With a wet kit, you really don't want the car knowing anything is going on and trying to adjust for it.

thats exactely what i was thinking. I just hate mounting it so close to 1 port in the TB. Ill look into the plate but iv heard about them starving the first 2 cylinders. So its a catch 22 here. Anyone got pics of where they put there nozzle on a lt1?
