stock bottom end lt1 juice?
i have a 97 lt1 formula with about 1xx,xxx miles on it. it has some ported heads and a pretty big cam and it dyno about 420 to the ground through a t56. so my Q is how big and what kind of shot you guys think i could put on it without blowing it up? this is my only car and i cant afford to lose it. thanks for any help.

I ran a 125 dry shot (that came up 175rw on a dyno) for 3 years on a stock bottom end 350 before I eventually cracked a ringland during a normal commute. No damage to anything but the piston, but I wasnt making as much power as you NA at the time, and I didnt care as much if it broke.

100,000 + miles isn't a good starting point.

On the stock shortblock with that many miles, just stay safe with a 75 wet, maybe bump up to a 100 wet for track/dyno days. If it was me, personally I'd hold off until I had the money for a new shortblock -- either way you're driving on borrowed time.

i wanted a 150 wet but i just had it installed today and the shop said 100 tops. so thats what its at now. they also pulled 4 degrees of timing and ill be shifting at 6000. the car has really good oil pressure, and makes no noises. i just want as much as i can get SAFELY.
oh and this is c5formula.
