50 shot on a 110k motor
50 shot on a 110k motor I have a 2001 trans am with 111k miles on it and I have been thinking about putting a 50 shot on it just to give it alittle more punch. it is the stock motor and stock a4. Never any problems with it just wondering what everyone thinks and/or if you think it will hold up and if i would need to upgrade injectors or fuel pump. And it will be a wet kit.
If you can have it scanned, using HPTuners, EFI Live etc, before hand would be your best bet to ensure the systems are good, not running lean etc. But I'm not even sure you'll feel a 50 shot, isn't that what ricers spray onto their subwoofer?

Even a weedwacker, but not an LSx...too soft, wont even feel it I bet.

Even a weedwacker, but not an LSx...too soft, wont even feel it I bet.When i put in my kit I started with the 75 shot pill before moving up and I definately felt a sotp difference.
Very noticeable, so he should feel something with a 50.

I couldn't feel the 60shot on my old 305TPI car. No matter how I tried enabling it as soon as I hit WOT, a little after I hit WOT, couldn't feel it. Was almost worried it wasn't working (though I verified everything was working right with the motor turned off). Turns out I trapped 4mph faster with it on even with a HORRIBLE 60' time. Didn't really feel it, but it must have been doing something.
Now on my Z, I plan on running a 100-150 shot this year and if I don't decide to go FI next winter, the motor will be built for a 300+ shot for next season I'm pretty sure I'm going with the 02462 (NOS) setup.
