Default Luxfer Bottles?

Does anyone know where I could purchase the Luxfer carbon wrapped medical cylinders that every company uses as there nitrous bottles from directly...The sherwood and Luxembourg valves are easy to find but I can't find the bottles.

I actually saw a site where the 12.5lb bottle was over 800 dollars, even from NOS they are over 400. Any suggestions...

No-one knows where I can get these? Come on...the 12.5 was originally designed for SCBA's for firefighters and rescue people. It was built by MSA.

Most companies aren't quick to give up their vendor info. And if you could find a place to buy direct you may not be able to get it any cheaper unless you bought a very large number of them.

You can find the steel CO2 bottles that came in my dynotune kit easily on ebay for 60 dollars or so with valves and siphon tubes, or on beer brewery websites. I've seen those brand new for around 90 dollars complete. They even come with the proper burst disk preinstalled. I just can't find the carbon ones...sucks

Not sure where you can get the carbon wrapped bottle. I would try a google search. Our CO2 bottle that we sell in our fake purge kit can be bought at paintball stores, brewery websites and so on --- unfortunatly they will not work well at all as the CO2 valves do not flow anywhere near the nitrous valve we use.

Good luck with your search - if we find a source we will let you know.

Thanks man, I honestly didn't expect to get a reply from a vendor...

When I finally get all my insurance stuff straight I'm going to be ordering some more odds and ends from you... do you sell the bracket that clamps onto the bottle and the turn **** for the remote bottle opener seperate? When I get another bottle or two I don't want to keep switching that clamp/valve handle over and over again.

Would something like this work:

Carbon bottle 30min

Carbon Bottle 45min

What size bottles do you think would be best?

I saw tall those on ebay but 45 min air capacity really doesn't tell me anything, and they are to old to look up the specs on luxfer's website, they don't even carry that model anymore. The other ones are small, and you can't actually find them anywhere. Yeah they would work but I need specs which you really can't find on old stuff...you would also need to change the valve out to atleast a CO2 valve, the valve on it is made for a SCBA, very small flow.

All I know is that a 10lb bottle holds 10 lbs of CO2/N2O, 28.9 cubic feet of N2O. 15lb holds 43.3 cubic feet.

I also need one 6.89in. or roughly 7in. diameter (Same as normal 10/15lb. bottles.)

Why not just buy a composite from ohhhhh I do not know a nitrous company.
the chances of you saving any money on a NEW workable bottle with valving and dip tube that wont blow up is slim.
Those bottle are not cheap, no they cost alot. And something else, co2 bottles are not nitrous bottle. nitrous bottle have to be o2 cleaned, co2 bottle donot.
the stamping co2 is before o2 cleaning happen. be carefull
good luck in your search.

I have looked into this before kind of gave up on it i went to a sucba store and they had some bottles that appered to be the same as 15# but the opening where you thread the valve in was too small it would have to be drilled and taped or something to make it work.
