Ive noticed that as time goes by the accepted amount of nitrous on a stock bottom end has gone up. It used to be 150 shot was the most every one was doing. Now i read about heads/cam cars spraying 200. Whats every ones thought on this?

Call me crazy but it seems like everything I have seen and read says that with larger shots 150 plus you are living on borrowed time with the stock pistons. I can't imagine even with all the safety equipment that they are going to last through too many race seasons before a ring land raises or something.
just for everyones info. ive sprayed 2 bottles through a big heads and cam 02 ls1 camaro auto. 240 flywheel shot on 93 pump gas, single shot, wet, 12.6 a/r or 10.8(39 fuel jet on order to get it in the 11.s). 22 degrees of timing. no knock.

Im thinking about running a tnt 200 shot this summer on a big cam and heads setup. Ill be runing100 octane and the harris stand alone fuel system. Ill probably wait till the end of the season though.
What's everyones thoughts on a single stage 200 no progressive hit. A lot of people doing dual stage, or pulsing up to a 200, but not many hitting it all at once. Is it pushing the stock s.b. just a little too hard?
