Default Question about black NOS fogger nozzles?

My NOS fogger nozzle "jet holder" on the nitrous side has a wierd tube connected to it that seems like a potential restriction....what the hell is this tube for because my fuel side has a regular "jet holder". Is this just mine?

nope. all the black nozzles are made that way. the nozzle itself is hollow. the tube seperates the nitrous from the fuel inside until they exit the nozzle.

Are these nozzles junk because of that straw? Does it need to be in there?

Yes it has to be in there. The tube transfers the nitrous out of the nozzle. If the tube is removed the nitrous pressure will over power the fuel pressure and fuel flow will stop. Also we have seen this problem when the nozzle is taken apart. The tube seals to the bottom of the nozzle when it is initially put together, after it is removed the seal is gone and the nitrous can over power the fuel and stop flow. If it has been taken apart you will need to test it before it is reused.
They can be tested with compressed air. Seal off the bottom of the nozzle with some tape. Make sure both holes are covered. Then put air pressure to the fuel side jet adapter and check to see if you get any coming out of the nitrous side. If air comes out of the nitrous side the nozzle needs to be replaced.

I will get some different nozzles just to be safe. Are the dynotune nozzles the same or better? Time to research that nozzle sticky.

the nos black nozzle is the only one that i know of that has the straw. all the other ones i did in the nozzle shootout are drilled for each port seperately.

We have two different versions both are brass with hollow bodies and the tube. The original has a wedge cut out of the end of the nozzle and the tube is for fuel. The "B" nozzle has two holes at the bottom and the tube is for the nitrous.

From the looks of it they they don't met my performance criteria. I have 4 of the black nos nozzles and will be selling them ASAP. I would like to get dynotunes nozzles, but I don't like the fact that I have to get a special tap for 1/16, so the nx shark is my next consideration.

is this for a direct port, or a single nozzle in the bellows boot? the dynotune is the same size as the NOS nozzles at 1/16". the shark is a 1/8".
