Default Anybody else have problems with NX's customer service?

I purchased a NX TPS WOT switch from a sponsor toward the end of last year. It worked fine while doing testing in the garage. I tried it out while actually spraying the car and it worked twice.

I made a post on here about it and a representative seemed eager to help when he thought it was an oversight on my part. After it became apparent that it was indeed a problem with the product, I was simply told to "send it in for review". I asked for information such as address, who specifically to send it to, and what to include. I was replied to with a simple street address and that's it.

I figured it was no big deal. I'll just find their website and go that route. I sent an email explaining the situation to someone in the warranty department. I asked them the same questions as far as what to include and whose attention to send it to. I never received a response.

I finally decided to follow the initial representative's instructions and just send it in. I figured it would be better to follow this route. Even if I never heard back, atleast it wasn't sitting on my counter collecting dust. I included a letter explaining my situation along with all the possible contact info that they would need. I have not heard anything at all after 2 weeks and highly doubt I ever will.

My new Dynotune unit seems to be working fine. It was significantly cheaper also. The NX unit was the first thing from NX that I purchased...it is also the last.

Nope. I've never had anything but stellar customer service from NX. On more than one occasion, they've even sent me free stuff when 3rd party vendors screwed up my order. I'm sorry your experience wasn't as pleasant as mine.

The customer service I have received from NX has been very good. They have returned phone calls when necessary and replaced items if needed.

Nope - in fact they have been the company to try to beat c/s wise. I'm sure that NX will reply as appropriate.

Their service is great. On electronics it is not allways a matter of just replacing, as end user mistakes can come into play. Even so, they would have still taken care of you, had you followed up and given them a chance. Most any company/vendor will have specific protocall concerning electronics. Try to take something back electronic at any auto parts store. I am sure in the end you will be taken care of. Contact your vendor, maybe they can help speed things up.

Well this one is really different.
Nicholas I am sorry you feel our customer service was bad or disappointed you in any way. If you got instructions to send this back from this forum, more then likely it came from me. But I reviewed my sent pm's and I see nothing. Can you tell me whom you have been speaking with.
We do have the unit here and, I noticed it was sent throu the mail. MY warranty people tell me this showed up last week, but could not comfirm the date. I notice it was sent out on the 18th so I assume it would have been Tuesday or Weds. WE are in the process of checking this unit out.
It does take time to check in and service any and all warranty type items.(all items are checked in the order they come in)
Once we have checked the unit out, at that point or time line we would give the customer a call.
Again sorry for any incovience this has caused.

Ricky,

Here is the link to my original thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/nitrous-oxide/606413-problems-w-nx-tps-wot-switch.html

My email was sent to craig@nitrousexpress.com which is the email designated for warranty on the NX site.

It really would have been much appreciated to atleast get a confirmation that it was received and update as to what exactly was happening. With the other correspondence, this seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back. For all I know it got tossed into a corner and forgot about.

I really do appreciate you getting back with me so quickly. I am in no hurry as far as the review process is concerned. It is just nice to know that it was received and action is being taken. Thanks- Nick

Well that explains why it was not in my pm box. Sorry we normally do not respond when we receive parts. That is until we check them out.
My bad for not posting the name with the address, my assumption was it would be coming to me NXRICKY.
Again my appauligies.

I'd bet SSkeet's comments possible turned off the Customer Service receptors?

After one pull through a gear, i noticed it wasnt working....i went and checked the nx tsp switch and the light is on no matter how many turns. i think it must be fried but wtf? This is bs!
Who wants to help anyone that complains w/o asking a civil question...SSkeet is an example imho of how NOT to get help. I hope he takes a lesson of how to act from Harley-Davidson88.

I loved my TPS switch...gave it to a friend when I bought my FJO mini...now two have loved one switch. I'll bet Skeet let off the pedal!!!

I beg to differ sir.
Any time one of NX customers is upset for any reason we need to know. Some like this one are justified and others well they are not.
I will you know something soon.
