i read how the wiring goes, but i'm still a little confused on how it works... i know it turns the the nitrous off if the fuel pressure drops below a certain point but how does it know what that point is?

Most of the EFI FPSS are set at 35psi from the manufacturer - doesn't mean that's where yours is now (someone could have changed it).

I would definitely check it out using an accurate pressure gage...

Would you turn the screw in or out to raise the setting?

It has been a while since I set mine so I can't remember but you can check that function with a multimeter across the terminals. Start the engine and check for continuity. Then turn the screw in or out until the multimeter shows connect or disconnect, which ever is opposite of the condition before adjusting. This will tell you for sure which direction does what.

here is a quick rundown on how to adjust the FPSS....

Remove the bottle from the car......Take the fuel line off the nozzle....have an assistent hold the fuel line into a catch can.....bring the vehicle up within the RPM window and activate the kit......slowly tighten the adjusting screw until the sytem starts to pulse/shut down, then back the screw off 3/4 of a turn

To adjust the switch you remove the rubber plug from the top of the switch. Insert the proper hex wrench, turn clockwise to increase the setpoint, and counterclockwise to decrease the setting.

The switches are generally adjustable in a range of 25-60psi

for a dry you would have to remove the nitrous line from the nozzle and repeat the same steps
