Well both are MSD. It looks like no one likes the MSD digital.

Pills can change over time, vibrations, heat etc. They are nothing mor ethen a resistor.
Now the digital ones on the market do not have the problem. I have not worked with the MSD units as far as their digital one.
I have installed a couple of these.

MSD pill type x three here and will stick with the tried and true, and much easier to set-up. Save your money, no need to buy another WS. The digital seems to be problematic. You can buy pills I believe by the single from NX.

Sure why not, they work fine and have for many years, and it was free. Sure I could tell ya to buy one of our new window sws, but why?

I had a pill type and switched to the digital, but if I had seen the one above, I would have bought that one!!! In fact, I may end up switching again this summer. Definitely a cool product!
