The problem seems to be that most users set them too high, so when there is a brief dip in pressure when the N2O system activates in immediately kills it causing a surging. The trick is to set it a few psi below that.
So Dave, is yours already set? You know I bought that one a few weeks ago from ya and I took it off b/c I was told they dont trigger till fuel pressure dropps to like 15PSI...which by then, it is all over anyway.
I tested one I got with Dave's plate kit last year, looks like it breaks continuity right around 40-45 psi. Thats probably a good point for the 60psi operating fuel pressure I'm seeing.

to adjust a FPSS,
1) verify that the bottle is closed and there is no nitrous in the feed line
2) remove the fuel line from the nozzle
3) activate the kit
4) using a can to catch the fuel flowing from the fuel line, slowly tighten the screw on the end of the FPSS until the fuel starts to fluctuate.
5) Back the screw off 3/4 of a turn
6) hook everything back up and you are done
