Default autometer gauges? Are they half decent?

What is everyones opinion on autometer gauges. I know they arent the best but are they really that bad?

i am installing a N2o kit on my car and I have a friend who is willing to let me have his autometer ultra light nitrous PSI guage and Fuel pressure gauge.

They worked perfectly in his old car. The guages are about a year old.

I notice these guages sell for about 75 bucks each online... are they really that bad?

Would you guys recommend them and install them in your car if you had the chance to get them for free.

I would love to buy some dyno tune ones$$$$ but if i can get away running these autometer gauges that would be great.

I guess i used the wrong words... just wanted opinions on them. Its just i have been searching and see all these nice guages go for 150+ and then see these auto meter ones sell for 50 bucks online. I wanted to hear if people had any issues with them.

My friend has the Ultra lite series gauges... fuel pressure and n20 psi. should i install them or spend the money on some nice dyno tune ones.

You must not be looking at the Auto Meter electric full sweep gauges. I am gettin the Cobalts and they are $199 (fuel pressure) and $199 (nitrous press.). Hell yeah they are really good gauges. The ones that are $75 are mechanical.

I have the Dynotune ones and they work great. At the same time, I wanted a fuel pressure setup that would log to a computer (w/ no gauge) and have been using an autometer setup. I found autometer tech support to be very helpful. I think also you are looking at mechanical vice electrical gauges. I would go with the electrical ones over mechanical (whichever manufacture you want).

yup my friend is giving me the mechanical ones. Are they really that bad? he said they worked fine in his mustang for the 3000miles they were installed. He said they were accurate too.

So is there any concerns using a mechanical gauge. Is the install pretty much the same?

Have the temp, electric fuel pressure and electric nitrous pressure gauges in my car. They all work fine, though the electric nitrous pressure underhood (cold or hot car) reads about 50psi higher than the mechanical gauge on the bottle.

i know auto meter makes great gauges.

My issue with these ones are, they are mechanical. I know people say you dont want to be running a fuel and n2o line inside your car but i can live with that. I am talking about the actual ready... are they accurate?
