There really is no place to put it up front unless u have removed stuff from your car... and by putting it in the back u have to correct for G forces when u run the car... mind is going next to my battery same size, but I have no A/C EGR or other **** so its a cherry install

The measurements your discribing are just about the same dimesions for either a Jaz 1 gal.(plastic) nitrous cell or Triangle(Alumn.) 1 gal. If your willing to relocate your battery to the rear of the car either of those fuel cells will work in the original location of the battery and tray with little cutting to be done. I have a 1 gal. Jaz nitrous cell in that location and just below where outlets will protrude I also mounted my fuel pump there.

Pull the passanger side tire off then take battery out, unbolt battery try/resivor to remove and finally remove inside wheel well plastic and you will see what I'm talking. Once the plastic is removed you can see all the free room available. There was even enought room for me to mount my nitrous pump and if you ever seen a Magnaflow Quick Star 300 with filter that pump will definatly takeup realestate!

Good Luck!

Jim

Deffinetly check out Reckless's site. He has a great write up with lots of pics. Trully a sterling example of a N20 install. I would nominate it for the standard everyone else should follow from what I can see. Great job Reck, been meening to tell ya that for a while now.

One thing Reckless failed to mention is that you can have Triangle Engineering cut 4" to 4.5" of length out of the 8301 tank and they won't charge you!! So, you get a 1/2 gallon tank at the price of a 1 gallon tank, what a deal!!! Also, if you do that ask them to move the mounting tabs all the way to the top of the tank rather than at mid tank. Then you can mount it on the frame where the battery is with no problems. Also get a rollover valve(20 bucks) and use that for the vent tube fitting instead of just a tube. This is definitely the best way to go is how Reckless has it written up.
