Default When you spray is the bottle physically under pressure???

While I realize this is 900+ psi when you spray does the bottle its self thrust at all. I have mine mounted to my 1/4 MDF amp rack with 1/2" wood screws. The bottle is very secure, but I was just curious if I should mount it alittle more secure? I know if I were in a wreck it would be all bad, but this is just a temp location for the drags this weekend.

Isn't your bottle nozel being pointed at a angle? If so, then the thrust would be pushing up against the mounts. I don't see a problem

Here is my bottle location. You can see the thin wood it is mounted to. I went and bought a set of 14# 3/4 screws and will more then likely go that route for the weekend. After that I am replacing the 10lber with 2 5lber's that will be secured in each corner of my trunk for looks and performance.

Problem would be in a wreck.. make sure what you are bolted to can handle the load if you slam into something.
But no the bottle itslef is under no pressure load while pressure, as far as forward or rearward.

Do you have a blow down tube?
If not go get one quick, before showing up at a track.

Yah, you'll need a blow down tube for a track. And it looks like the NX guy answered the question.

The line will be tight. I do have a blow down tube just not on. I still need to figure out how I am going to vent it outside with out drilling into my car? Hell I don't even know where the tube is going?

You need to have the blow down tube outside the driver's compartment. Since you're on the gas tank, that looks like a bad spot to mount it. It has to be a hard line, they won't allow braded lines

this kit has had no issues passing tech...if you are using a braided line it must be secured with a bulkhead fitting.

"Thrust" would only come into play if the line was disconnected. Then it would be as stated above, vertical. As for the bottle being launched like a missile in an accident, I agree. I put a safety strap on mine that goes through the brackets and attaches to the hatch release apparatus. You can kinda see it at the end of the bottle.
