Default 450rwhp on engine + 150 dry = What injectors?

The car is finally going in to get tuned this month and I just wanna make sure i have enough injector for my application upon going to the dyno. (currently have 30#'s) The engine should make around 450 to the tires on HP, then im going to shoot a 150 dry. Will 36#'s cut it? Personally i think it would be asking for too much from the 30#'s. Thanks to all that help!

Go big. 36# will not cut it. My AFR on a 125 shot is 11.9-1 injectors show 70% DC and I have stock engine with bolt ons and FAST 36# injectors. If I were you I would go something close to 50# so you have room to grow. You could always go with a wet shot too.

eventually it will be a dual stage setup. 100dry on the first stage and 150-200 on the second via direct port, fuel system, controller, ETC. But, thats going to be an expensive setup and i want action now! Hence my spare dry kit, ha. 70% duty cycle isnt all that bad IMO. I will be primarily a motor car, and spray when its time for business. Soo assuming the 36's hit 90% DC on the gun, its only for a few seconds, otherwise its way less when running on HP. Clrearly, based off your numbers, my 30#'s will go on ebay tomorow! Thanks for the reply!

anyone else have some good info?

+1 I'd do a minimum of 42lbs, specially if your gonna make 450 NA, 42lb will be fine for that set up. A good pump is a must too!

yea the car has a cell, A1000, pre and post Aeromotive filters, Aeromotive FPR, -8 feed and return. Should support plenty! Then the direct port kit when i finally build it, will have its own cell with c16 and another A1000 as well.

42s will feed enough to go 9.7s at 3600 lbs all thru the injector in a nitrous car

I am running 42s with a Racetronics fuel pump. I have yet to dial the car in on the juice, but as soon as I get the wideband in from the GP, I will be getting to it.

At 575rwhp and 665rwtq, both highs on different pulls, my SVO 42's just barely were touching 80% DC. That was running rich also, about 10.5/10.8 area. So, I believe realisticaly that 700hp could be supported, and am going to find out real soon the new 408 with a 300rwhp shot, oh and the above numbers were a 250/285rwhp shots both in dual stage, new set-up 3-stage all dry. The math for getting a general idea on paper is in the wet vs dry thread if ya want to try that method.

I have done 740 rwhp thru a 6 speed with 42 lb injectors, walbro 255 intank, hotwire kit and casper voltage balster on several different cars. Injectors where just about maxed out but AF was in the 10.8-11.2 range

That was also with stock fuel rails and stock feed lines, stock fuel filter.

Its a combo that I have used over and over with great success to hit the 700 rwhp mark. I am about to copy it yet again on my newest project car.
