Default I am afraid to hit the nos button

I have a 98 firebird 6.0 truck motor and 243 ported heads 585 cam flat top pistons 373 gears and longtube headers ls6 intake and lid with truck maf sensor. Ready to go 11.88 dial ins 114mph . I just put in a 150 shot of nos wet kit. with race tech fuel punp. 4 degrees out of the timing with tr-6 plug. I think it is ok but 10 bolt rearend I am afraid. 225psi cranking compression will it blow the heads off. thanks Let me know what you think

that is what I thought I should do so I hook up a switch on and a button switch so I can hit it for a short time and not when it is shifting. will the drive shaft make it ok I was 11.88 so with 150 shot will it go 11.25 and live.

Maybe I will try 100 shot first. Will this car handle 550 at the wheels. I have heard the floor pan will blow up. Should I get frame connecters. I want to be ready and not explode something. Will the plastic intake hold up. I am ready to try it if you guys thing the car will hold it.

I've been spraying 150 running low 11's no problems. Left the line with just over a 200 shot. Pulled a 1.483 60 foot pulled around and staged again. BOOM!!!!!!!!! no more rearend

Just spray it.

I have a full weight h/c car(no **** 3450 without driver, still has everything it came with) It has went 10.4's @130 with a 150. I sprayed it as soon as the last yellow dropped and pulled a 1.48 60ft. I have a stock 10-bolt(all the way stock) with 3.23 gears and I think thats the trick. I dont trust the 3.73's. Plus if I had 3.73's and you might run into this problem as well, my car would shift into overdrive before the stipe, unless you ran a 28" tire. IMO 150 out the hole on 3.73's w/10bolt...........better bring a trailer. I know there will be a bunch of guys saying they run a 10-bolt with 3.73's and have no problem and thats great and probably true but just my opinion put some GM 3.23's in there, spray the 150 and run 10's all day and still be 20+ MPG.

225 psi cranking pressure? That is alot. What is the LSA on your cam? You need to pull at least 6 degrees out for a 150 shot. 2 degrees per 50hp is what I use. As for the 10 bolt, good luck.

uh, you are hoping to go from 11.80s to 11.20s with a 150 shot?

Try well into the 10s unless you're driving miss daisy.
