Thank you for all of the tech help on that pull. I did set the window switch to 3800 RPM now before I got to the shop. Started to take it apart but didnt get far because SoCal muscle showed up and looked at some parts I had for sale. I'll let you know when I get the 408 done.

i don't understand- i 150 hit at the engine-equals a gain of 279 bhp?

i thought a 150 gain would get 110-125 bhp at its peak of efficent-

u sure it's a 150 set-up?maybe wrong pills have been put in-

as stated not making fun of anyone on-here

i just have never heard of a bigger gain at the wheels with such a small hit @ the engine?

if i am wrong someone please quote me-

Thankyou

Damn your car just keeps making more and more power. Those numbers are crazy! Good luck with the 408 install. I'm sure that setup will make insane power as well

From what I know and also what I have been told that TNT under rates their kits at the rear wheel hp and not like some other kits where the rate it at the flywheel. You can make the system more efficent by having higher compression ratios, better fuel, and more bottle pressure. I did a run before that it the same exact set up and get 608 RWHP and 740 TQ the bottle was at 1000 PSI and also we did a few back to back runs before that and also one nitrous run right before it. The link is posted in my post.

I am selling the PRC LS6 stage 2.5 head for L92's with all the extras and going to put some Nitrous pistons in it for now. It now has dished mahle pistons and can keep that for a Twin Turbo set up that I would like to do when I have more money. But I would like to do a twin stage progressive kit on the 408 motor. I would like to have a car that is really fun to drive and also some what easy, then when I would like I can safely hit it with a 250 shot when im at the track or when I see an Import or something and they try and do that fly by thing on the free way.

I have the F2 kit on my set-up. On my old heads and cam 346 I had a 150 shot and got 175rwhp out of it. Now on my new 408 I have a 200 shot and get right at 225rwhp from it.

Nope, the solenoids are different in the F2 and can hold more hp.

Amazing numbers. I would of thought the rod bolts would of instantly snapped with that much power. Take it to a track.

Also the kit comes with dash 6 nitrous lines.

BeardWS6,
How was the bottle pressure when you had your dynoed? I know when I had the 100 shot in it it was like 120 that I picked up. But when I put the 150 in I picked up a lot more but it was also at 1200 PSI with a 10.75:1 compression ratio with 17 lbs of nitrous in a 15 lb bottle.

I was so nervous right before I dynoed the car. I don't want it to break. I would of taken it shooting it at 1050 PSI to the track but know Im swapping the motor so I can run the **** out of it and not have to worry so much. I'll post some time slips when the motor is done and broken in. My friend 02NBMWS6 sprays his till 6800 on a 150 shot with less timing taken out then me and he pulls a 10.51 at 131 with a 1.47 60'!!!! He has stock heads rods and pistons!

Well this explains, as least some of why you gained so much hp on a 150 shot. With the increased bottle pressure it's like up sizing the nitrous jets, as TNT rates with 900psi IIRC. You can also see this in your a/f ratio, which imo, is a little lean for these numbers, but will also produce some additional power over being richer/safer. Kudos to you though, it still amazes me that it held together.

For you guys thinking the F2 is dual staged, no, it's dual nozzle with the big noids.

Yeah...in the graph you posted with the Af ratio...your peak TQ is 757 with an Af ratio of 12.6. Are you using race gas? I am pretty certain you wont make it down the track like that in one piece. BE CAREFUL. I know your getting a 408. But even the 408 WONT make it down the track like that. Maybe if you have some C16...but not on pump gas.

IMO you should retune for atleast 1 more point richer Af in the 11.5 range or less. And STILL add race gas....even with the 408.

I was on pump gas and had oct. booster. When I usually run the car at 1000 psi the afr is at about 11.8. I would like to run c16 in a front mounted tank with its own welbro 255 pump for the spray when it comes on. I was very nervus when they were to do the dyno, I dont have tons of money to through away at new parts.

My bottle psi stays around 1000psi. My motor was built for spray, stall and all. I haven`t sprayed mine on the street yet. But with my car making mid 500rwhp I think I`m making about 760-775rwhp with 200 shot! Good luck with the power. You are on borrowed time, I promise. Be safe!!
