I understand that and in fact the bottles are in the trunk. This is for my Viper. I am not worried about what cops will say or do if they pull me over, etc. I am worried about the car passing emissions. what happens when they go to inspect under the hood and in the trunk? Yeah the bottles of course wont be there but it will be clear that there is a place for two bottles due to the mounts and the wiring, etc. The problem with the last part is unfortunately there is no track on Oahu, they closed it down last year I am just making sure I am good to go when I ship the viper down to Hawaii with the Nitrous setup.

I am not trying to be a dick here, but if you can afford a Viper and a Camaro with the numbers in your sig you can afford to pay someone to uninstall and reinstall your nitrous for you so you can pass emissions.

LOL yeah that makes sense. Just waste money to have it uninstalled then reinstalled. Just because I have those cars doesnt mean I am rich. Alot of people have nice things because they dont waste it on things like uninstalling and reinstalling stuff. Instead they figure out ways around having to do that and manage the money well being able to afford Vipers and highly modified Camaros. Sorry but your logic is all wrong. BTW problem already solved without having to "waste" money. Thanks but no thanks for your advice.

Cant have it hooked up here in Idaho.

But what cop is going to ask about it? Hide your bottle, the plane view bottle placements are the lose. Whats a bottle opener to ya?

Ive got all the above and plan on keeping my -6 line of spray loaded at all times!

Well talked to the Florida Highway patorl today at a What a burger. I asked him is there any laws or restictions to having nitrous on street driven vehciles. He said Yes. If the bottle or bottles are hooked up in any form wether it be for show or go it is illegal. He also said If circumstances where to happen they issue a written warning so it is on file. Second offence is the confescation of the bottles and a ticket. Third offence is the impounding of the vehcile. He alsomentioned that recently here in florida there is a state wide bulletin about the nitrous in vehicles in the road. I gave him my cell number he said when he finds the bulliten he will bring it to me. HAHA for him I will post it so you guys can read it.

Exactly. This is the point that always rolls around my head. It's not like they pull over a Terminator or a new Cobalt SS and check the computer for higher boost or anything.

I don't think cops care about 8 to 10 psi or somthing like that. It is that nitrous is a oxidzer and is under very high amount of pressure, and IF the car was to be in accident they don't want there medical staff and other emergency crew be subjuected to a bomb!!! since it is flamable and under 900psi compared to 8 to 10.

The car I set up for a customer has run about 30 bottles through it on the street. He is paying $6 a pound. The system has been on just a few months.
This is on a 2003 Cadillac DHS. We are not to worried about the the bad guy's in the Black and White's. We have been paying $6 per lbs. Yeah $6. I work at a Cadillac Dealer and this was installed at the dealer. I started researching filling stations and cost on N2O.
The dealer will buy the Nitrous Plus if he buys the filling station.

Nitrous Plus is not N2O! It is Nitrous Plus!
That would be like saying Hydrogen Peroxide is H2O! It is NOT
Nitrous Plus is not a controlled substance!
Nitrous Plus maybe illegal in some states, but it is not Nitrous Oxide
Loop hole? Maybe. Will you win? Maybe. Will the cop lye? Yes

Oh yeah one of our gas suppliers quoted me $3 per lbs I could get a $1000 filling station and still come out good.

Its funny I get less flak for my car then I did with my 91 chevy pickup. No kidding I would get pulled over about once a month in it. I have been pulled over once in mine cause was 2 days late on my tag. The cop happened to be behind me at a light LOL

Maybe you should get a B4C that looks like a six cylinder and not a T/A. My brother catches hell with his WS6.

cops around here don't even know or understand what it is, LOL. they think if you hit a pot hole or something it will blow up in your car. The remark I hear is, I would have caught up with him If he had not hit that nitro.

I would really like to see a nitrous system on a Northstar motor. I too work at a Cadillac dealer. Never seen one before. I guess bus. is bus. I just can't see a service manager allowing that to happen, aleast not where I work.

Wire loom as much as possible and black electrical tape over all of the soldnoids.
It will help atleast. It is still pretty hard to hide a DP.

Bottle in the spare tire compartment too.

If my car pulls out the driveway it has a full hooked up bottle with the valve on.. it dont matter if Im going to the race track or to the grocery store to grab some milk... you never know what might pull up beside ya...

who cares if its legal or not, its not like a cop is gonna pull you over on the side of the road for a traffic ticket and ask you to pop your hood..

BTW, only ricers mount there bottles out in the open so everybody can see there car has nawzz

I got pulled over last night in Plano, TX. Apparently, it is not legal to have Nitrous in my neck of the woods, but the cop was really cool and gave me a verbal warning.

My 15lb bottle is mounted on the transmission tunnel with the nano kit mounted to it (In other words, it doesn't take close observation to notice that the car is equiped with N2O). The kicker, I keep the car registered in Alabama (where i attend grad school) and where there is no emissions hence no inspection. So when the cop asked if my car was street legal, and I told him that as far as i knew it was legal in the state in which it was registered.

He also commented on my catalitic converters (or lack there of).

I have found that if you are not being if you are honest and not doing something stupid, the cops will typically be lenient. Come across as cocky/arogant and you are in a heap of trouble.

As to the OP who is asking about N2O. Why not just remove the bottle brackets, and put electrical tape around the sylenoids. That way, unless the inspection guy is really looking for N2O, then he won't notice it. I would do that before i paid to have it installed/reinstalled. If they notice it, then at worst you would have to uninstall it and then reinstall it once it was inspected.

Yea, but nitrous is in a pressurized tank. I could EXPLODE.

J/K, but i think that most of the public thinks that, for some reason or another, it is flamable. Seriously though, having pressurized containers in the passenger compartment could be considered a safety hazard during an accident.

Hay guys take a look on the bottle. It will say its non-flammable. Nitrous is not flammable its an oxidizer. Take an oxy acetylene torch and turn the acetylene off. Guess what happens. Nitrogen is not flammable either.

And your bottles should have a burst disc so their not going to explode. That's the purpose of it.
