Default Can you mount your bottle under the hood?

Stupid question, new to nitrous. But if you have the room can you? I mean sure you can but is it unsafe or not legal? If so for what reason?

dont know if its legal, but it wont be safe. You're bottle pressure would get too high due to the heat and it would burst. More than likely the burst disk will blow as it should, but if for some reason it didnt your bottle could actually blow up.

You can warm up the bottle by placing under the hood. Can't mount it there for crash concerns.

Not like your car wil be engulfed in green flames and jump 20 feet in the air but we have to be safe.

If you are talking in the front bumper where the support would have ben then yes you can, but it is also a risk cause in the event of any accident it will cause some major damage. If you are talking about in the actual engine compartment then i wouldn't suggest it. You would have no way to keep the bottle from building to much pressure due to the heat and would constantly have issues.

I've seen quite a few people that do it. Mostly in the front bumper area like Chris said or under the flip up headlights on birds / vettes.
