And he is an unoffical Glen Burnie guy so no playing us against each other.

Great looking car, AND a nice run. I'm not sure what it will eventually 60 foot but that launch looked good considering it's your second time in the car. The dissapointing part is that mustang lost all hope and called it quits before you hit second gear.

There is only a handful of guys whom have put an independent stock rear and an M12 into the 9's. Until you guys run a C5 Z06 you can only imagine the ride, it can be a real challenge.

Ron, very, very nice. Yes with a perfect run 9's are at hand. I have got a best 1.51 on ET Streets and big tq down low (1.4x is doable for sure, some auto's get 1.3x's). Have you any n/a runs? I ask because we now have a n/a cubic inch category in the Z06 Fast List, as well as a power adder section, which this run is a top 10. Only a couple 9.xx runs have been submitted. We would love to have ya on the list? Here's the Z06 list (2nd post).

Wait until you see a Z06 with that kind of power/tq really banging the gears, it'll be all over the track, guranteed, lol. But hell, that's what makes piloting one of these so much fun, a challenge for sure with beast like hp/tq. Been there done that, lol.

My best friend has a c5 Z06 making 470 rwhp n/a...I gave him sh*t b/c he wasnt running low 11's-high 10's with it. I got to make a few passes in the car saturday and never thought there would be so much of a difference than running a F-body down the track. i definately have respect for anyone with 6 speed vette getting good times out of them. It is no easy task at all. It is all too easy to sit back and say driver mod- but untill you run the C5Z and see the difference STFU

Great job Ron- that biatch rolls out

There seemed to be a lot of talk about the power numbers of the TFS heads being BS when they came out, and some people said the only thing that counts is track performance. I think the box stock TFS heads have proven themselves.

If you say so.

FYI we have a set of those heads here and you could not pay me to put them on. The guy whos car they went on was sold on the hype and regrets it.

Remember you took it there not me. I was commenting on HP-ET numbers only and the HP numbers are good. not so much on the ET.

Let us know if you are going to run it again at Reynolds with the 250 shot.

And I'm with ya'll, I'd a heck of a lot rather run a 10.4 @ 140 than a 10.0 @ 135... but that's just me, I like a car that runs from a roll...

5 year old technology

I'd give up my intake for 40 more cubes and 300lbs.

Do you think Chads car would slow down if he put ET or AFR's on it?
Your crazy if you think so.

Great marketing for TF .... LMAO!

Maybe just once you guys could keep your pissing match out of other peoples threads that have zero to do with it

Its obvious nothing will ever impress any of you GB clowns unless it rolls out of your own garage... I didnt post my results expecting big horaahs on the ET... ANYONE who drag races knows ET is indicitive of driver/60ft... MPH tells the power and potential of ET if ran to its potential..

My vette has a STOCK REAR/STOCK SHAFTS/STOCK TRANSMISSION/ and was driven to the event on SMALL 275/40/17s.. The mph CLEARLY represents the dyno#s. At 140mph traps Im sure I could go out there and launch @ 6k on Drags/power shift and run a 9.50 or so... I also wouldnt be driving home with my IRS intact.....

You GB guys cars run well.. Seems the only thing faster out there is your mouths... Give it a rest, you might actually earn some respect

Thanx for sharing. Feel free to add me to the list.. I plan on being bumped up a few spots as soon as my fuel system arrives so I can jet up from this lil 150 hit

You are right, piloting a Vette down the 1320 is a whole different animal than say an F Body... I have raced F Bodies for years, even 6spds and the Vette is a totally different animal.

Ron,
I think its more that our Dyno doesnt jive with yours.
I made 730hp on our dyno and ran 149.5 mph in a 3700+ lb auto.
So you can see why Shiz was questioning your 140trap in a lighter manual car. The manual should dyno better than my auto though.

I complimented the car .... I think there is nothing better than driving a car to the track and putting up some good numbers then driving it home.

I think Brain started a riot up in your thread though ...

Dyno aside (We all know they are just a TUNING tool) a lil 413 with a small cam and a 150 shot is trapping 140mph on the first trip to the track.. The combination is working and will only get faster with seat time

Maybe if you guys ever make it down to Ga we will give you some dyno time to see how much they really jive.... I would also love to see you guys race down here in our air on our tracks... I remember a few years back all the 10 second Cartek cars were down here running 11.20s/11.40s.. It was quite comical

I agree that they are a tuning tool, they are also a sales tool. Big numbers sell products right?
413 isnt little (my 370 is little) and yes I'd say your car is running well and with seat time you should be able to get it into the 9's with no problem.
9 second street cars are not easy to come by

Our N20 cars are not effected by the weather as much as an all motor car would be. So you may have an argument if we were talking about NA cars but were not.
