.8lb of n20 = 100hp for 10 seconds, plus filling the main feed line and purging.

So expect to use approx. 3lbs per pass

What if you are using NANO or some other Nitrous assisted push style system?

It's just a motto, not that I am really anti nano. However, I don't need it at the expense that it is. The heaters work fine, for those that will wait the time. I also have my heaters setup woth no transducer so as I can keep the pressure EXACT for each run. I also have had past setups where anytime the key was on the heaters were heating to psi with transducers, that way always ready and full automatic all the time. Nano is cool if ya have big $$ and/or NHRA bound, imo.

Well, I dont have big bucks or NHRA bound (LOL) but I ordered the system to go with the NX wet kit that Cartek is installing along with my H/C/I setup and other work they are doing. I guess we will see how it works.

funny that you guys mentioned the NANO system, i was concidering getting one, but i thought that a more logical step was to get the 15 lbs bottles first

I have been looking at the nano setup also, but then was like for the price, I could get me 2 15lb bottles, mount them, and fill them....LOL

figured the 2 bottles would be a better choice.

For the $ that a nano system costs I can get a hotbox, which will keep 2 bottles hot and up to temp, so I am ready for the next round ebfore I even run the first. As long as you aren't sitting in the staging lanes for an hour, or racing when it's 40 degrees out you should be fine with a hotbox and a simple bottle heater.

I know the nano keeps the pressure up for the whole run, but some think the setup getting a little rich at the top end from a slight pressure drop actually helps keep things together, I personally think the same.

Also on the dual 15lb'ers, the volume allows a full day of drag racing with no bottle changes, and often especially on under 200 hits a couple to few outings can be seen. Even with the big hits that I am doing the bottle pressure drop per run is very minimal, and your actually ready for back to back runs. The only down fall would be having the dual heaters (I only run them in the staging lane prior to a run with car running) electrical load on the alternator. But by removing the transducers (have used pressure activated and temp activated) I can absolutely control when where and how much pressure at any given time. You guys know that Al has a write up on doing a home built push system in the stickies, a little bit better on the wallet.
