i have the black dynotune bottle warmer and it seems like it takes a long time to heat up. been around 50 degrees outside here and when i open the valve the bottle will be at around 600-650 psi. the bottle heater takes about 25-30 minutes to heat to 950-975 psi.
also it seems like only half the heater gets really hot to the touch and the other half only gets kinda warm
this is my first bottle heater (formerly used the propane torch method) so i was just curious if this is normal

I have a dyno tune heater also. When i open my bottle in 50 degree weather my psi is normally at 800-900, 700 at the lowest. It usually takes my heater 25-30 mins to get to 1100 Psi. I would say your heater is right on the mark ex you bottle pressure seems a little low initially. Are you referring to a full bottle? I am interested in how the Harris speed works heater compares

we set out to try and cut down the time it takes heaters to get the bottle up to pressure and have been very successfull with our Revolution heater. it'll get a bottle up to psi 20% quicker than a conventional 300watt heater yet its only a 280watt heater. here's a little more about it...

Guys,
Sounds about right.
Rick,
Nice charts but if you could list the company name(s) of the 300 watt heater you used for your comparison it would be helpful as wattage is one difference but so is the internal layout of the heating element. Not all 300 watt heaters perform the same.

Those times seem kinda slow to heat up a full bottle. My nx heater takes 10 minutes at the most on a full bottle on a cold day to get to 1050psi. Now when the bottle is 1/4 full thats a different story, around 25-30 min. Also I use a bottle blanket with the heater.

I have the HSW Revolution shown above and it takes 10 minutes max to go from 650-950 psi. Then again I melted some plastic in my trunk with it as well when I accidently turned it on when it wasn't wrapped around the bottle... This heater draws close to 20A for those that are concerned.
