Default 150 Shot Timeing

What Type Of Timeing Should I Be Running For A 150 Shot>?

I Think I Should Pull Between 4-6 Deg By The Rule Of Thumb But How Do I Know For Sure If 4-6 Deg Is Enough?

The Car Is A 5.3l Head Ms3 Cammed Full Bolton Ls1...

Really What Im Looking For Is The Total Ammount Of Advance I Should See @wot While Spraying A 150 Shot

Just Looking @ My Main Spark Advance Table It Looks Like Now Im Running 29-30 Deg (for My Na Tune)

I'm running like 23 on a 150 shot. NA is 28-29.

mine starts around 26 at 2400-2800,then quickly dips to 24.5 until 3700, then climbs slowly about .5 degrees at a time until 26.5 at 6800...(2004 cammed gto ls1 125 shot,7.15@97.44 1/8th mile last sunday)...
best of 98.89 1/8th mile with the 150 shot and a 7.07 1/8th mile on a 100 shot,all on the same timing,motor or spray...

get your motor timing right(wherever that is) and leave it alone for up to a 150 shot,in my opinion(wet kit)...

hp tuners... thanks for the info guys..

also i think 29-30 deg is alot of wot timeing to spray on... im sure ill start with 24 deg and work my way up from there

You usually pull 2* per 50hp, if not a little more to get a rough base tune. Then you can go from there and add a little timing if need be. Luckily an LS1 can detect knock and let you know there's too much timing/too little fuel.

I rely on reading spark plugs or watching for a ball of fire to come out of my carburetor. lol.

29-30 degrees could be consider alot,but it is all dependent on the setup.
You have the right idea, by starting out at 22-24 and advancing from thier.
My T rex I run 26 wot, and Iam going to start at about 20-22 degrees after the nitrous install and go from thier.

i also spray from 4k to 6.3k 1st-4th with .1delay 80% to 100% the rest is in my sig.
