Gunna Spray! :)
believe it or not all three were manuals. obviously they werent putting down the quickest 60 fts and their ET's werent where they should be, they were all 10-11 second cars. Not everyone has the money to just drop in a 9 inch and beat the **** out of it. If you take it easy on the lauch you can run a ten bolt for awhile.

and obviously a built auto is gunna cost, and also is a nice converter... a 10bolt wont last long either with a 4k stall and sticky tires! they all go eventually..and rite now im not to worried bout the being faster in the 1/4. since its 2 hours away.
my thoughts exactly!

Ive got video of my buddy doing that in a 02 bone stock WS6 and street tires at the track....but i also have video of my friend in his 02 Z28 doing 5000rpm dumps on a Micky thompsons, dead hooking and no snap from the stock 10 bolt.

now thats sig material!
now that must be fun!

10 bolts were made for v6's!!!!!!!!! have your cash ready for a new rear end.
the 10 bolt should be able to survive nitrous for a while if you're on street tires and don't get greedy. i wasn't spraying until at least 40mph at the track on street tires since i wasn't hooking. and i never do burnouts. a 2 stage 135 shot starting at 40-60mph took a second off and added 10mph to the trap. i also sprayed alot of times on the freeway from 50-60mph.
a stall will probably kill it a lot faster because to use it you'll have to hook.

so what setup do you guys recomend? i dont plan on going over a 150 shot at the moment. prolly will keep it at 100 for awhile.
this is my first time gettin into nitrous. my car is currently auto..but will be converting to m6 in the next few weeks. the car has ms3 on a 113 lsa. and is pretty much a weekend warrior. and will see track every once in awhile.
i was lookin at the dual maf kit that nitro dave has. anyone have any feedback on it? or recommend any other kit?

The NX
Maff system is a nice unit. I am alittle partial to our plate system but I have always love d the maff kit.
You are correct in your later statements. There are alot of systems on the market today. There is alot to learn when trying to make a educated decision.
Check out this post.

There is a write up I did about what to look for when purcxhasing a system. You are correct you get what you pay for..

i'm hardly a guru but here is my .02
make sure you get a regulated bottle blanket that keeps it at consistent bottle pressure, also a window switch should be considered mandatory i also got a fuel safety switch on mine also, purge is nice too but probably less important than the other stuff, especially if you're not at the track, i guess, last time i checked nitrous was legal in CA as long as the bottle isn't open, system isn't armed and the bottle cant be opened from the drivers seat?
you should really get a better fuel pump given your mods too, maybe you already have.. its also much easier to just do all the little accesories all at once
in my mind its cheaper to just get some gallons of good race fuel too and pour in a few gallons when you spray, cheaper than a new motor, thats my plan anyway, i plan on getting my tune done at synergy soon, i'll be sure to post how it goes, let me say that a little 50 shot is VERY noticable though,
i went with a wet kit because i didn't want to upgrade my fuel injectors, and i like being able to upjet or downjet the fuel to tune it rather than just kind of guessing how the MAF may decide to deal with it, thats just my opinion though,
if you're ever near SF and going to do some runs, hit me up, been looking for a cool norcal car club of ls1's and have been wondering how my stock 100shot car would do against a full bolt on and big cam car....
peace

1. you will always want to have control to your bottle opener. if you don't have a bottle opener, you will leave it open all the time because you will not want to be caught slipping.
2. you will want to spray at any given time so you will find a way to not have to use race gas. 91 octane will be fine anyways as long as its tuned right to do what it does.
as far as a heater goes, you will start your car and the first thing you will do next is turn on your heater.
if anyone thinks they have or do have the restraint to not be ready all the time, they'll get caught slipping and change their mind and make sure that 1. the bottle is open, 2. the heater is running to get the psi up.
and a 50 shot is noticeable but will only be fun for a week.......tops.

And make sure you use at least 104 like they said, a few bucks extra for race gas bc it will eventually save your ***, I've started carrying some torco additive in the spare wheel well along with the bottle.
