Default Mounting bottle on trans tunnel

I want to mount the bottle on trans tunnel but dont want to ruin my carpet or anything. Can I mount it without getting one of those plates? What do you guys recommend? Id like to save money where ican and still have it look professional. I don't like the look of the metal plate setup, would like it looking carpeted. If i drill small holes in the carpet will they be visible assuming i remove the kit?

Also, as far as blowdown tubes go, what should I do in order to get a blowdown without cutting a huge hole in the carpet.

BTW, HSW 10lb bottle.

I have a tunnel mounted hsw 10 lb bottle, i made the bracket myself out of 20 gauge sheet metal (i have a brake and cutting machine) and wrapped it in vinyl to make it look appealing. As far as the blow down tube i really dont know what to tell you if you do not want to drill a hole in the floor because you are probably going to have to do that not in less you can get it to the drain holes in the floot pan somehow, but i really dont know how you could do that!?!?!?!?!

I have seen some people run a braided line outside the car.

does your kit use a regular bolt drilled all the way thru with a nut on the underside of the car? or like self tapping screw?

Cmon guys, that bracket can't be my only option. Seems way overpriced and not worth it for my application. Im sure it is a quality piece but I am not interested at this time. What other ideas do you guys have?

My buddy fabricated a braket for me that looks similair to the 860 braket. It uses the pre-existing holes from the seatbealts so I didn't have to drill or cut anything.

As far as the blow down tube, I would think you would need a long braided line first. You could pull the carpet up underneath one of the back seat cushions just a little, punch a hole through, run the line, replace the carpet, and put the seat cushion back in.

Just do it and mount on the hump.. all you have to do is drill 5 holes.

My carpet does not looked messed up or anything.. biggest hole was for my bulk head fitting for the blow down...

Can people still use the rear seats reasonably with a bottle back there?

I used my measure deal and made sure the angle was 45
it does look odd, and I agree that it looks odd in the pic.

but the brackets are dyno tune brackets, and for the base my brother and I made the mount.

That pic does kind of look like its wrong.
oh and in that pic it is down some, that pic I took when I had first finished it.
I have since put different bolts and some lifters for the front...

well the passenger side is a seat delete for me.
the bulk head went in on the side, and I did not move it forward enough for the seat to go back in...
Driver side rear, yes can be sat in no problem.
actually I slept in it, passed out across the bottle... thank god the wife did not take pics of that...

I had the wifes friend sitting back there when I was hitting it..
she was using the bottle as an arm rest.. LOL

mine just sits there and isnt drilled or bolted in. as long as you dont make high speed turns or slam on the breaks its fine. watch out for you funny bone when opening your center console though.
