On my old setup I was making 421 RWHP off the bottle. On the bottle I made almost exactly 100 HP more on a 100HP shot putting down 521 RWHP on the dyno. now I have a new setup with ported AFR's and milled heads on a 150 shot. Ive been running a 150 shot for about two years now but no actual dyno numbers yet. I would guess that I'm putting down at least around 560-580 RWHP.

two years is great!! I was thinking of runnin nitrous for about that long, and if not content I should have enough for F/I in 2years,or I just may forge and run a big dual stage shot. I figure when my new cam is in I'll be around 440rwhp or close.I was just wanting to add a 75-100 shot to put me at 520-540 on the stock bottom. Although 560-580 would be betterHow often do you spray?
thanks alot
john

Newbie when it comes to nitrous. Only 4 runs so far. NA power is down a touch with the new Yank SS3600 on the dyno, which is to be expected. So anyways, 353rwhp NA, 468rwhp on the bottle. Still working on the A/F ratio, which for now is pig rich. Looking to tune it for 500rwhp on the bottle.

I only hit the track a few times a year. I'm thinking of changing the set-up to a 2-stage. 75 shot at 3200, and another 75 at 4000rpm. That way I can use just one stage on the street if I want to get the heart rate up a little. I also picked up a Nano system that needs to be installed.

Ive been spraying for a total of three years and probably on average twice a week, Some days I might go through three 10 Lbs bottles in on day and some times not spray for almost a month. Remember that its all in the tune, I run a wide band all the time, spray my fuel from a stand alone, and progress my shots from 25 to 100% within a second.
BTW, My engine is starting to show some wear though. I did blow a gasket once and cylinders 3,5,and 7 on the compression test have been down by 5% and stayed there for around a year now but the cylinder walls and pistons looked good.

How often are you replacing solenoids with a progressive shot with spraying 2-3x a week?

im making 431rwhp/394ftlbs (mustang dyno) and currently running a 75 shot...havent really had time to play with it b/c of the rainy season here in Seattle. no numbers with the spray yet, but once i get some seat time and get some traction ill be throwing in the 150 jets. Its a nitrous outlet plate run by a progressive controller

keep me posted. I plan on starting with a 75shot,and may move up to a 100.I dont wan to do more as I think I would just be spinning tires on the street, and I still have a 10 bolt. I figure when I get my car back with the new cam I should be at or near 440rwhp.I think it would be pretty quick in an A4. I'm just looking for that little extra to keep up with them F/I guys.

I never had to replace a solinoid yet but I have changed the plunger in them. The biggest problem I have seen is with the fuel solenoids that some fuels will cause the little rubber piece at the end of the plunger to swell but even then I will just swapp in another one and let that one dry out for a few weeks.

So would you say going dry would be safer?

It would be hard for me to say what is safer or better. wet and dry have there strong points and there place IMHO. BTW, I cant really say from experience for a dry shot because I never setup a dry shot on my car or any other car for that matter.
