John563, as long as your a/f and timing is on point, you'll be fine. Did you ever find out what your car does on motor at the track yet?

how long are your motors lasting with H/C/I and nitrous? doesn't 430rwhp ish + 150shot seems like a lot of stress on a stock motor even with a good tune?

thats the purpose of this thread. To see how long people last on a stock block H/C/I plus 100-150 shot. you hear all the time from people "oh I put down 590 rwhp or 580(high 500's) and I was fine when they tuned it.I want to know how often did they spray other than the one time at the trac to see what it would run or on the dyno(one time) to see what it put down. There are a few exceptions as to the people that have posted in this thread, but of the majority that have posted they only have had it in a few months.I hear all the time that the short block can hold about 600rwhp on spray and about low 500rwhp on boost. I figure when I get my car back I'll be around 440rwhp I'm looking to do a 75-100 shot(on top of 440rwhp). I think it should hold for awhile. I read a thread hear recently by a guy that goes by ls2bait(I think) and he was wanting to know how he should do his short block since it let go.He is H/C/I and I think a 150 shot. I was hoping he would post on this thread as to how long and often he was spraying. Actually he already posted, but hope he chimes in again and let us know how long and how often he sprayed

mike you forgot the most important part- that my car has over 70000 miles on it with stock rod bolts- everything was safely tuned and installed by hsw the car now has a fast 90 90 setup and a 2 stage setup instead of my previous 1 stage progressive

Yes, that was petes car on the cover. He's been spraying a 250 shot for about 3 years on our tune. I dont want to say hundreds of bottles, but pretty close to it.

We have built alot of big HP stock bottom end cars on the juice over the years. The LS1 engine is a tuff monster. The key to survival is doing it right with the right products. What I find funny here on the forums is how many people posted they did this and taht but they dont tell you they blew it up or hurt it.. The internet can be so misleadimg at times.

Thats a good point dave, dont see a lot of people saying i sprayed a 200+ for a month and then blew it up. A quality kit like both our companies offer is only half the battle, having a spot on tune is the real essential. I think both of those factors is what keeps pete going strong on his stock bottom end big shot. Never even had the slightest hiccup in that beautiful car.

Yes That is what urks me about chat forums. You would be amazed at some advice given by people that can not even keep there own motor together. Ofcourse they dont post telling people they can not make there own advice and methods work..
