Using Prc 5.3l Stg 2.5 Heads And A Ms3 V3 Cam How Much Total Timeing Should I Be Suing For A 150 Shot, And For A 200 Shot

As Of Now Im Running About 29deg Of Timeing N/a And I Was Gonna Pull 6 Deg For The 150 Shot But Am Not Sure If This Is Good Enough..

 

6-7 degrees. may have to go 1 or 2 more with a 200 shot

 

I usually do 2 degrees for every 50hp.

See If Im Running 24 Deg Stock And Someone Is Running 29deg With A Large Cam Mabye That Rule Of Tubmb Dosent Hold Up

 

Spoke With Tsp And For Shots Under 200 They Said 5 Deg Is Fine For My Setup

 

did they say 5 degrees for stock timing, or 5 degrees from max timing (post cam, etc)

 

That is very important as you don't want to blow up the motor

 

Im guessing he's meanin post cam. Jason pulled 3.5 degrees on the 150shot on mine and richened up the PE 3 % and it was a 11.2 a/f ratio the whole pull.

 

yea they said 3-5 degrees and i told them i was ms3 cammed and 5.3l heads with their base tune
