How To Pull Timing? Hey Guys. How is everyone retarding their timing with their PCMs? For example, I have a new vehicle and tuned with HPTuners, running a 200hp nitrous kit and want to retard timing upon the button. I do not want to run a tune with a constant timing retard, but want to retard timing upon the button. What does everyone suggest? How do you make this happen?
HSW has the answer for the wet and dry users: the "Interface". Now if you happen to be running a dry hit and have a tuner program, in my web is a how to pull timing write up and it's free. I do have the Interface, as well as HPT and a dry hit, so been there before.

I'm still learning all this myself but i'm looking at the timming twister from MSD. Not sure how good it is but it looks like a good product.

Hi. Well we are running a late model SUV ECM & TCM, with an LS7 engine. I do not beleive the plugs will work from the MSD unit you mentioned above...
Is there anyway to do it within HP Tuners or similar? Please advise.

I would use either the Timing Tuner or the Timing Twister

usually for every 50 hourse you will pull 2 degrees of timing. So if you have a 200 shot like i do, you will pull 8 degrees of timing. I have the timming tuner and it is great. The one from harris speed works is really nice as well.
